    Tina goes home and faces drunk Henry…

    "Oh, don’t call her that! – Well Tina, what should I call her then? Bitch? Whore? Slut?" Henry sneered caustically..

     

    "Henry….. please," Tina begged.

    "Or maybe you prefer Angelica’s other mother, or your ex-wife, or how about just plain old fashioned homewrecker!?"

     

    "Henry…. Honestly, I don’t know what you’re talking about…I-I thought y-you were ok with me taking Angie to see Bette today?"

    Just hearing Tina say Bette’s name made Henry’s stomach turn…

     

    He reached into his pocket and pulled out the crumpled up note that had been the catalyst for his rage this day…

    "I was ok with it…Until I found this in your purse!" Henry spat, throwing the note at Tina…

     

    She bent down and picked it up, and instantly knew what it was. She looked at Henry curiously…

    "You left your purse here, it spilled, and when I was putting stuff back into it, I found that piece of garbage!" He explained.

     

    "How long have you been holding on to that Tina? Huh? Through our whole fucking marriage!!?" He yelled

    "Henry….. I don’t know…I-I didn’t even know it was in th-there," Tina replied…Feeling a little guilty.

     

    Truth was, she knew it was in there alright – She knew, because she read it almost everyday of her life since Bette gave it to her! She had it memorized verbatum long ago…But somehow it still gave her comfort to see the words inked in Bette’s handwriting.

    "You’re lying!" Henry yelled, stepping closer to Tina.

     

    "Henry…. no, I’m not!….. I really don’t know!" Tina replied, backing away more…

    "Did you fuck her today?" Henry spat out

     

    "What?…Henry… You’ve got to be kidding?…." Tina answered, quite shocked at the question…

    "Well, did you!!?" Henry repeated, feeling his anger rise…He could see it in his mind’s eye….He could picture his wife with that fucking woman! He could visualise them lying there, touching each other… Whilst laughing at his expense…

     

    Tina could see Henry’s anger rising. The vein on his forehead was pulsing and his face was getting redder by the second…

    His hands were clenching and unclenching at his sides…

     

    "ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION TINA!!" He roared so loudly..

    "No… Henry I d-didn’t…I wouldn’t…I..I never even saw h-her today she.." Tina began to answer

     

    "YOU’RE A GODDAMN LIAR!!" Henry growled, as he advanced towards her…

    "HENRY NO!!!…." Tina screamed in terror…….

    7. I have to comment again because I couldn’t sleep well last night. This story keeps invading my thoughts and has made me painfully aware of domestic violence and the damage it does. Men who beat women (or women who beat men) are just bloody cowards and should not be allowed to breathe!
