Unusual Meeting – Chapter 19
“Yes” Bette answered as Mike answered for her “No”.
They walked further, stopping and laughing and trying different things. They came to a shooting game and Bette and Mike both stopped as their partners continued on, not paying attention. Bette and Mike looked at each other, “You up for it?” Mike asked.
“Bring it on” was Bette’s response. By now Tina and Judy had returned to find them. They watched as Mike and Bette challenged each other to the game. There were numerous targets, different sizes and shapes that moved along the rail. They laughed at each other as the game continued. At the conclusion, the operator decided it was a tie and they should play again.
“What’s up chumps?” they heard coming from behind them. They all turned to see Deputy Alex Sifuentes and his wife Dorothy standing there. They all exchanged handshakes and greetings.
“I was just about to kick Hanson’s butt at this game. You want in?” Bette explained.
“Ah now, you don’t want me to make you both look bad, do you?” Alex questioned.
“Shut up punk. You can’t out shoot me. You have never out shot me” Bette reminded him.
“Ok, that’s it. I’m in.”
The girls watched as Bette, Mike and Alex all got so wrapped up in the game. They were talking trash to each other (all in jest of course) and harassing each other. The end of the game found Mike slightly ahead of the other two.
“Nuh-uh, bullshit. I want a re-match. Come on Porter, don’t take that from him” said Alex.
The girls were tired of watching this display. Judy spoke up, “Are y’all going to play again?”
The three looked at each other. They collectively nodded yes.
“Mike, give me your wallet, we’re going shopping” Judy ordered as she held out her hand. Mike just looked at her. Judy gave him ‘that look’ and he handed over the wallet after removing some cash for himself.
Dorothy also spoke, as she slapped Alex on the arm. “Yeah, that’s a good idea. Give me your wallet.”
“Stupid Hanson, see what you started” Alex said as he handed over his wallet.

Awww such a cute and sweet chapter. lol@Judy telling Mike to give her his wallet.
The interaction between the “guys” at the fair was so funny! Really macho if you ask me… But again so typical! It cracked me up how Tina got all excited by the 100$ bill! I enjoy this story, they always seem to be doing lots of nice stuff (outside of the bedroom, I mean…). Who wouldn’t dream of a ride on a motorbike with Bette? Thanks for the post!
Minimal drama is alright with me! I prefer it when the girls are happy, and have an open communication, and understanding.
Giving up the wallets to the girls and Tina being surprised by the $100 bill was too funny! I hope they can work out the logistics and be together.
ldw, love this story but I didn’t know it was so close to home. I live a few miles from Dallas. Was this trades day place just happen to be Canton, Texas, sure sounds like it. Very interesting place. Love the way you are showcasing the girls and letting them have a normal life together, just the everyday things to get over.
nice to see that stephanie didn’t make an appearance…this chapter was cute and i think tina should move too…so what did tina buy with that 100$?
sweettttttttttttt
Thanks for posting…yeah…a chapter without stinky Stephanie. I am sure they will be living together real soon. The carnival scenes were too cute.
Awwwww Yeah LDW…can’t wait until you just take a bit more time and post so we can see what happens! I love your story and your writing!
