Unusual Meeting – Chapter 19
“See anything you liked?” Tina looked at her questioningly. “When we decorate our house are we gonna have to come back here?” Bette asked her.
Tina smiled at her, the words Bette had just said caused her heart to melt. “Maybe, I guess we’ll just have to see.”
They all sat together to eat. They joked and laughed as a good time was had by all.
On the ride home, Tina fell asleep leaned against Bette’s shoulder. Bette held her close, relishing these tender moments. A little later, the Tahoe pulled up in front of Bette’s house. “Sweetheart, we’re home” Bette whispered to her, successfully waking Tina.
They sat together in Bette’s oversized chair, Tina leaning back against Bette. “T, do you feel like talking?”
“Sure” came the instant reply as Tina turned to face Bette. She sat cross-legged in front of Bette, still in between her legs. “What did you want to talk about?”
“Us. Our future together. I want a future with you.”
“I want that too” Tina agreed.
“I know this long distance thing is hard, but I just don’t want us to rush into a decision we might regret later.” Bette paused. “I want more than anything to be with you all the time. I want to fall asleep beside you and kiss you awake every morning. I want us to live together.”
“Bette, that’s what I want too. So where’s the problem?”
“The problem is location. Where? are we gonna do this falling asleep and waking up together? I love you and I’m certainly not averse to the idea of relocating. It’s just that I’ve been here so long, I’ve come so far. I would lose all rank and privilege if I start at another department.”
“Baby, I understand. Your job is so much a part of who you are. I wouldn’t ask you to change that.”
“But I would, for you. I just think we need a little more time to work out the logistics of where, but I promise you we will be living together soon. If that’s what you want?”
“Of course that’s what I want. And I’ve done some looking already. Bette, where do I work?”
“UPS” Bette answered her like it was a silly question.
“Right, and UPS has offices nationwide. I’ve checked the areas around here for any openings in my position. I’d prefer a lateral transfer for the same reason as you. I’ve worked hard and don’t want to start at the bottom again. It makes more sense for me to move here.”
“But I can’t ask you to give up your life in Dallas. I wouldn’t do that to you.”
“Bette, you’re not asking. It’s just something I’m thinking about. You know my parents would love to have me closer to them, right?”
“I still think it’s too soon to make this important of a decision. Why don’t we just take a bit more time to see what happens?”
“Ok, maybe by then a supervisor position will open around here. But let’s not wait too long; I miss you so much when we’re not together” Tina expressed her feelings.
“I feel the same way. I knew we wouldn’t get anything resolved tonight. I did, however, want you to know how I feel about this. When I picture my future, I see you right here beside me. Forever and ever. I love you T.”
“I love you too baby.” Tina leaned in to kiss her. It was a tender, sweet, full of promise for the future kiss. Tina turned around and snuggled back up against Bette as they both realized the importance of the conversation they just had.
Their lovemaking that night could be described as the most passionate and the most pure it had ever been.

Awww such a cute and sweet chapter. lol@Judy telling Mike to give her his wallet.
The interaction between the “guys” at the fair was so funny! Really macho if you ask me… But again so typical! It cracked me up how Tina got all excited by the 100$ bill! I enjoy this story, they always seem to be doing lots of nice stuff (outside of the bedroom, I mean…). Who wouldn’t dream of a ride on a motorbike with Bette? Thanks for the post!
Minimal drama is alright with me! I prefer it when the girls are happy, and have an open communication, and understanding.
Giving up the wallets to the girls and Tina being surprised by the $100 bill was too funny! I hope they can work out the logistics and be together.
ldw, love this story but I didn’t know it was so close to home. I live a few miles from Dallas. Was this trades day place just happen to be Canton, Texas, sure sounds like it. Very interesting place. Love the way you are showcasing the girls and letting them have a normal life together, just the everyday things to get over.
nice to see that stephanie didn’t make an appearance…this chapter was cute and i think tina should move too…so what did tina buy with that 100$?
sweettttttttttttt
Thanks for posting…yeah…a chapter without stinky Stephanie. I am sure they will be living together real soon. The carnival scenes were too cute.
Awwwww Yeah LDW…can’t wait until you just take a bit more time and post so we can see what happens! I love your story and your writing!
