What a way to say I’m sorry. Chapter 3

She sighs heavily. ”I’ll wait for you” After that she hangs up.

I stand in the kitchen staring at the window. When did our conversations begin to be such a hard thing? I just can’t…

    ”Troubles?”

    I jump as I hear Natalie’s voice.

”Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you” She says softly. Now when her body is full-length I can notice how tall she is. I think maybe even taller than Bette. She is slim but not skinny. Not athletic either. She has shoulder length auburn hair cutely tucked in the messy ponytail.

”It’s okay. Um, I think I’ll go. It’s getting late”

”Alright. Can you give me a ride? Olivia brought me here but I think she isn’t ready to go at all” She chuckles.

I smile at her. ”Of course”

We said goodbye to girls and walked out of the building.

Once in the car, we made small conversations about her work and my onetime position of film executive. I learned that she works as administrator of a hairdressing salon. Also she told me that she was the acquaintance of Shane first through this hairdressing business, but when Olivia met Alice she found out that Shane is also Alice’s friend.

”Such a small world” I chuckle shaking my head.

”Such a small lesbian world in LA” Natalie corrects, smiling at me.

We are silent for a while. Then she looks at me. ”So, you have a girlfriend?”

    ”Yeah” I reply.

”How long have you been together?”

    ”For seven years”

    ”Wow, that’s serious” She nods.

”Very” I smile glancing at her.

”You can pull over here” She points. Exiting the car, she says smiling ”Thanks for the ride”

”It’s my pleasure” I tell her politely.

She closes the door and then I am on my way home.

I step in the house and see Bette sleeping on the couch. After taking my jacket off and washing my hands I come over her.

”Bette, wake up” I shake her shoulder.

”What time is it?” She rubs her eyes with her knuckles. If our relationship was not in such a bad shape I would be strocking her cheek now and kissing her cute sleepy face and telling her how much I love her. She would bury her face against my neck, making soft sounds, and wrap her arms around me tightly showing me how much she loves me.

    1. Good story so far but I can’t stand Tina and Bette fighting. They can be so hateful to one another. Please make it better between them – they can also be so kind and loving toward one another.

    2. This was such a good chapter you can feel Tinas pain and of coarse shes upset and no Bette Tina doesn’t want things she wants you to be there for her pps.

    3. Oh man, i hate them fighting.

Bette, don’t be stupid and go to Tina instead of wanting to run. You love her. And stop saying you are sorry, show Tina you love her.

Please don’t let them do stupid and horrible things to each other.

    4. I love the way you write. You can sense their feelings and live those emotions with them.
Please don’t make this the usual kiss-hug-sorry-everything is all right happy ending story. Life isn’t that easy. Little drama is always good and it makes the story more interesting to read.

    5. It is very sad to see these girls fight, there has to be a understanding, a good conversation without charging, knowing where they are failing would be the solution. This story is wonderful.
