“How is my favorite niece today?” Kit says as she kisses Angelica and gives her a hug. “So where is the mystery guest?”

“She went to wash her hands, Kit listen before she comes out I want you to know that I did not hire this company, Tina did. I tried to tell Tina this morning and she blew me off, I could not tell her No to building the fence as it would take another two weeks to line someone up and the social worker is coming this week. Candace built the fence.”

“Bette have you lost your mind? You were in the baby’s room ALONE with Candace? What the fuck is the matter with you? You had better thank your lucky stars it was me coming in and not your WIFE. Bette sometimes I wonder where all those brains in your head are.”

“Kit, I did not know it was going to be her. I could not send her away; the fence HAD to be built.”

“Excuse me ladies,” Candace says as she walks in to the sisters discussion. “I am sorry to interrupt. I was just going to pack up my gear. Bette just mail the check to the company and they will pay me. Kit, Bette and I did nothing wrong. She told me that I shouldn’t build the fence, I am the one that told her it would be another two weeks.”

“Why did you accept the job? Haven’t you caused enough trouble?” Kit shouted.

“I accepted the job because I did not recognize the name Kennard. I knew only Tina’s first name. I was not expecting Bette to answer the door. I would have left but I knew the job stated URGENT.”

“Candace don’t worry about it. You did a great job and I appreciate all the hard work. Thank you.” Bette said.

“You are welcome, good luck in the adoption and with Tina. You guys have a beautiful baby.”

“No thanks to you girl.” Kit mumbles under her breath.

“Kit! Stop it. Candace thank you again. I will mail the check to the company. Good luck to you in whatever you do. Bye.”
