Mr. Morales:"Yeah Shane! don’t worry about it…it happens to me all the time"

 Shane:"I think there is only one thing I can do to make it up to you all. I am gonna take all of you out to dinner"

 Mr. Morales:"Shane you didn’t have to do this"

 Shane:"I would love to wait on you all" 

 Carmen:"I never knew you can cook?"

 Shane:"Well you will find out soon enough" 

 With that settled. Shane leaves the room satisfied. Mr. Morales takes a liking to Shane.

 In Shane’s new place in the evening"

 Carmen:"What did you cook Shane?"

 Shane:"You are soo doubtful about my cooking ability" 

 marco comes running to Shane. 

 Shane:" Hello Marco! how are you doing little man!"

 Marco:"Bueno"

 Shane:"Abuela I made arroz con pollo especially for you"

 Carmen was surprised at Shane’s perfect spanish pronounciation. There is so much about Shane that’s surprises Carmen. And then Carmen tasted the food that was actually really good. It seemed like restaurant food. Even Carmen cannot cook like this and Carmen is acknowledged as a good cook amongst her friends.

 Shane saw Mr. Morales sitting by himself in the balcony of her room, and she takes this chance to make a private conversation with Mr. Morales. 

 Shane:"Mr. MOrales! you you think I can talk to you for a minute??"

 Mr. Morales:"Yeah sure! what’s up Shane?"

 Shane:"first of all I would want to thank you for forgiving me for my joke and also to accept the invitation!"

 Mr. Morales:"DOn’t even mention Shane! It was generous of you to walk down from the bet that you won for my sake"

 Shane:"You know, I was hearing gossips the other day about Carmen and some other guy. I don’t know why! I always thought Carmen played for the other team…"

 Mr. Morales:"oh yeah….who is doing all these gossips" asks Morales now concerned about Carmen. 

 Shane:"I know I shouldn’t be interfering in your family matters…but you know…with such a ravishing beauty as Carmen’s ….and the amount of responsitbility that she’s going to have after you retire next spring….it would probably be good if…uhm….you know me and Carmen kinda settled…."

 Mr. Morales:"You and Carmen are together?"

 Shane:"Oh uhm…Carmen didn’t tell you about us? She was probably unsure about how you were going to react at the big step"
