Wings of An Angel – Bette and Tina – Chapter 10
Wyatt & Smyth Veterinarian Partnership – Five Hours Prior To Rescue
Tina was in a dream of confusion and dread from the moment she felt Bettes inner connection suddenly slashed from her secured voltage of love; stolen from the palm of serenity that had been imprinted with their matching love lines from the conception of their births. Within her discolored smeared fantasy, Tina was aimlessly floating on air, spinning in circles crying out for a merciful remedy; a preventive cure for her now ailing heart. Tina felt the powerful spiny clutches of the grim reaper tearing at her joyous embodiment of recovering the footsteps left behind to provide a clue for who seeks the whereabouts of the one and only Bette Porter. Tina was struggling to fight her way back to the comfort zone of being surrounded within the peaceful bliss of Bettes arms. Without the tranquility of Bettes aura pulling her safely from the suffocating surface, Tina was gradually sinking into a bottomless pit swamped with clawed hands scratching to taste a piece of her cleansing flesh. No matter the physical and mental damage to her personal well being, Tina was determined to find Bette and bring her back home. Tina battled against her shackled feet and hands to climb the raw fence of unattainable freedom. Bette, where are you? Baby, please, come back. Youre scaring me. The journey to the endless summit was challenging Tina to overcome the sudden change in temperature; from blistering heat to a hostile blizzard, the innocent difference between life and death. Tina felt the tiredness of her weary body calling for rest, but she ignored that dreary compulsion to relinquish her hold on Bette. Im almost there baby. Just keep hanging on. Dont you dare give up on me.
As Tinas bloodied hands and feet finally reached the treacherous summits tip, with one last victorious cry of anguish, she pushed her exhausted body atop the ivory covered ledge of Bettes temporary resting place; a dwelling for troubled spirits caught in between the realm of ones survival or demise. Tina was devitalized from her exorbitant journey. As Tina rested on her back to catch her breath she barely was able to visualize her surroundings within the darken casket. Due to the strenuous climb and constant question of her belief of whether Bette was alive or dead; she felt that her dream state conscious was playing tricks on her feeble mind for her eyes told stories of frozen moisture crystals hanging precariously from invisible chains, concrete pillars of ancient stone, and a wooden bridge held together by delicate string that connected the far reaches of two distinctive worlds. Across the terrain, naked bodies hung vertically in the frigid cold land while tear drop pallets of rain stung the unconscious souls and as her gaze traveled from one human figure to the next, she saw it, her worst nightmare; Bettes comatose torso clutched in the arms of the undertaker. Tina screamed her rage at the cruel horrendous joke that life was playing with her; giving her two steps ahead, just to bring her four steps back. How much more of this feeble world could she take? The complex dilemma was not for the weak at heart.

I liked the confrontation between Tina and the Angel of Death. A different but interesting approach with great tension.
I actually have to agree with slipperynipple. I like this story and love how you don’t just rush through things (unlike IC & Co. since they only have a maximum of 60 minutes a week to play with), but I actually had to keep stopping while reading this so I wouldn’t wear myself out. Introducing the supernatural was a good idea seeing as it would take a miracle for someone to come out of an incident like that alive.
wow, this was a long hiatus for this story…i hope bette will listen to tina and stays alive and get well soon
what Succulent said… but hey it was well worht the wait… so now please don’t make us wait another 3 months plus… great chapter…
I found your story today and spent my afternoon reading it. This is intriguing me. The thing I am most curious about is the little boy, something is weird with that situation. I am wondering if this is going to be an adventure like the movie “What dreams may come.” Will we find the little boy helping Tina face the Angel of Death? This story is also reminding me of Stephen king’s book “Rose Madder.” Although I really enjoy this story and your writing is great I would have to agree with slipperynipple about the length in certain parts. It can take away from the story. other than that I am enjoying it, please continue!
Cool! I seem to be drifting into the dark side of the world lately. The fight between Tina and the Dark Lord was intriguing. The Angel of Life just seemed to stand their and let Tina fight for Bette. The only time that you saw it or it was mentioned was when they were running down the hall and that Angel was running beside Bette. It will take all that Tina can give to Bette to keep her alive. Please post soon.
Good to see you back Leo and this is good chapter. When Tina talk to the Angel of Death is scary, ok glad Bette ok now and hope she will wake up soon. OK post soon please, thanks!
Wow what a drama – great to have you back….

Leo, god damn – you have been gone so long and then you give us the chapter from hell :o)……holy christ this was intense leo – absolutely amazing. Pleas do continue – We so want more, but please not so much drama on the next one eventhought we love it :o) Post soon
Well, so you disappear and then out of nowhere….BANG, after that chapter you once again have our attention…pls don’t ever go away that long again….I will assume that you are busy writing the next, and the next, and the next chapters….as you owe us big time….almost forgot….THANKYOU
Ya know this will be the first time I will write this. The story is good but this was too much. I think I skipped to the ending. The middle took to long and took me along a path I was not very interested in. But believe me this does not mean that the story did not have the desired affect but sometimes less is more. Could of done without some of the death part and the construction site part. Thanks for the story
Three months and thirteen days……..three months and thirteen days is how long you had a woman waiting…(its this how you threat your women)…….LE0, three months and thirteen days………..BUT it was worth the wait………….This chapter by far is your best……The struggle that Tina is going through to keep Bette where she belongs is heart felt…………The fight that she has with the Angel of Death clearly shows how in love she is with Bette and how far she will go to keep her…………..Now PLEASE let Tina win this fight so we can find out the mystery about Bette and Kit………..WE want a happy ending………Now I’ll only waiting THREE HOURS AND THIRTEEN MINUTES this time…………Please continue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
glad youre back a great chapter
Leo, welcome back although it’s been WAY TOO LONG. What an ambitious and complex chapter, thank you! If you ever feel another writer’s block coming on consider writing a simpler 1 or 2 pager to keep the creative juices flowing and keep in touch with your readers.
