Robin “You holding up okay?  I know you had to deal with the arrangements and everything.”

Alice “Yeah.  I’m fine.  I’m just more concerned about Dana and Lara than anything.”

Robin “That’s understandable.  I think it’s great what you do for your friends.  You’re always there for them.  It’s an admirable quality.”

Alice “Thanks.  Y’know…it’d be nice if you and I could meet under better circumstances.”

Robin closes her eyes and grins, looking down slightly.

Robin “Yes.  But I’ve learned a lot of things about you.  Good things.”

Tonya gathers Bette, Tina, Shane, Alice, Robin, Marina, Kit, and Ivan together as Dana and Lara are now close to Mr. Piddles’ casket.  Lara wraps her arms around Dana’s waist, leaning to her right ear.

Lara “I love you.”

Dana, still emotional sniffles momentarily.

Dana “I love you, too.”

Lara pulls away from Lara, joining the rest of the friends so Dana can speak.  Marina makes sure everyone has a glass of wine, including Dana which Lara gives to her.  Marina proposes a toast with Bette delivering her own sentiments.  Tonya nods to Dana, as if giving a cue to speak.

Dana “Everybody…I just wanted to say thank you…so much for coming and um…you guys are the best friends anybody could have.  It’s times like these when you realize what’s important.  And those are the people who are there for you.  The ones who got you through and…and the ones you can’t live without.  I also realize how important Lara is to me.  She’s been through this with me this entire time.  She’s looked over me…she’s held me.  And even when I didn’t wanna believe her, she would tell me that everything’s okay.  Mister P’s in a better place.  …One day, I’ll be in that better place with him.  And I also know how important Alice is to me.  Al…you’re wonderful.  You’re my best friend.  You were able to handle all of this…for me…knowing that I couldn’t.  And to Marina who allowed this place…this is such a special place.  So many of us wind up here and…we’re not around own families as much, but…through Lara and Al…and all of you…it’s reminded me that you guys.  You guys are the best family I know.  And…I couldn’t get through this without you.”
