Woman of My Dreams
As the gang ate and talked, Bette motioned for Alice to follow her to the bathroom. Once away from the table Bette quickly filled her in on the talk she needed to have with Tina. Alice was glad to spend time with her earth daughter so it was quickly arranged.
When they were all full, Alice looked at Angie “hey Angie, would you like to go to the park with Auntie Shane and me?”
“Yea can I mommy?”
“If you promise to be good and mind them, you can go and have fun with Auntie Alice and Auntie Shane.”
“Oh Boy! Let’s go!” Angie quickly grabbed their hands and pulled them toward the door.
“We will call you later this afternoon. She can have a nap at my place and I can bring her home early this evening. I know she has school tomorrow so I won’t keep her out late.” Alice smiled and waved as she was drug out the door.
Bette looked at Tina and said “let’s go home T. We need to talk.”
Tina put her arm around Bette and followed her out the door.
Once home, they got into some comfortable clothes, made a pitcher of lemonade and went out by the pool to sit.
Bette was the first to start. “T it hit me this morning that you haven’t really shared what it was like for you these last 6 months. It must have been hard on you. For me it was hard because I didn’t know who I was but you didn’t know if I was alive or dead. That must have driven you crazy but you also had to look after Angie. I am sorry I didn’t stop to think of this before. But I think we need to talk about it?”
Tears began to fill Tina’s eyes as she thought about the last 6 months. After what seemed like several minutes, she nodded and began to talk. “It was as if I was living a nightmare Bette. When I talked to you that morning before you left to go into the mountains, you were talking about coming home. You were so happy. When you didn’t call that night, I was worried but thought maybe it was further into the mountains than you thought. When you didn’t call the next day, I got scared that something was wrong. By the end of the week, I was frantic. Helena had called Peggy and she insisted that I stay in LA with Angie so she flew to Peru. The hotel let her into your room but there was no sign of a struggle. They had not seen or heard from you so she started asking questions. But nobody seemed to know anything. Peggy packed up your belongings and brought them home. She left word at the hotel if you came back to have you call her immediately. It was as if you had just dropped off the face of the earth.”

Hope James doesn’t faint when he sees Bette. It was a good thing for them to talk about what Tina had been going thru during her absence. I still want to know what has happened with jodi. Hope Peggy fed her to the lions, piece by piece. Thanks for posting.
Excellent update. Thank you.
