You Can Always Remember What You Can Never Forget (Chap16)

    Tina smiled again

    "T?"

"Hey Bette- I’m sorry to interrupt you. I just wanted to thank you for the beautiful flowers. They so so lovely."

"My pleasure. Tulips are you favorite or I guess were your favorite. I just wanted to know how excited I am to spend time with you tonight."

"Well I can see why tulips are my favorite. They are so beautiful. I’m also looking forward to tonight Bette. Thank you for doing all this."

"Of coarse T- I want us to take the time to get to know each other again."

"Me too Bette. Well I don’t want to keep you. I know you are busy, but I will see you soon ok?"

"Ok T- have a good day."

    "Thanks- you too"

The ladies hung up with each other and both smiled as they thought about what tonight could be like.

Tina spent the rest of her day playing with Angie. They went for a swim and ate lunch together. Tina decided she needed to start thinking about what she was going to wear.
She put Angie down for a nap and went to her closet. She opened it and start to look through her clothes. She found found herself wondering what Bette would like to see her wear. she wondered what outfit in this closet drove Bette crazy. She found a few dresses and tried some on but none of them were quite right. She finally found this dark purple short dress. It was lowcut and made of silk so it flowed in some places and clung in others. She decided this was the one. There were some tall brown boots in her closet too so she paired them with this dress. Tina hoped in the shower and was in the kitchen in her robe when the doorbell rang. She checked the clock to make sure she wasn’t running late. It was only 4:30.

"Who’s there?" Tina called out from behind the door.

    "Tina it’s me Kit."

"Oh ok." Tina opened the door and let Kit in.

"Sorry I just got of the shower."

"No problem- I’m here to report for babysitting duty."

"But I’m not going out till 7."

"I know, but I wanted to give you some extra time to do whatever you needed to do to get ready, maybe go get a manicure or something."

    1. Ok, I was thinking about the dress and boots Tina will be wearing for her date. The same as provocations? Will Bette lose it when she sees her in it? Will Tina remember of course the bad about their relationship. I feel drama coming. Love your story

    2. Ooooh – you delivered as promised! I’m smiling and eagerly waiting the next post…aren’t we such greedy readers? More, more and more! Okay…I won’t even try to get in that head to see what you’ve planned…but I’m excited to read all about it!

    3. I’m with Rau on this one. Also Tina needs to loosen up a bit and go with the flow. I am sure Bette is going to let her dictate the pace of the date. PPS

    4. Great chapter. Tina needs to try to keep calm and keep her mind clear for the date and not try to think what might happen. With Bette you never know what the surprise will be but it will be great, as Bette will do. I still want to know what kind of meeting Tina was going to with her colleague. Was it personal or was it business related? I simply can’t believe it was personal. Must go back and read up until the accident to see if I can answer my own question. Thanks for posting.
