You Can Always Remember What You Can Never Forget (Chap24)

"Well I just assumed that you would want to."

"I guess I didn’t think about it. I’m sorry if I am constantly confusing you. And thank you for trying to make me feel comfortable."

    "I’m trying T."

"I know and I appreciate it so much. But if it is ok with you I would like to sleep in our bed…with you."

"Tina I am confused. Today started with us laying in bed naked together and then turned to you telling me you needed space and didn’t want to be intimate with me anymore to you now telling me you want to sleep with me." Bette asked in a soft yet confused tone

"I know Bette- I know I’m not making sense. I’m just trying to follow my heart. I know that I belong in our bed with you. I know I sleep better when you are beside me. I hope you can continue to be patient with me even though I’m driving you nuts." Tina smiled and saw Bette smile back

"Yea driving me nuts would be an understatement." Bette joked back "So let’s go to bed then."

Bette walked passed Tina and into their bedroom. They both shyly got ready for bed and Bette went in the bathroom and came out to find Tina already in bed with her eyes closed. Bette climbed into bed and tried her best not to disturb Tina and tried her best not to touch her.

    "Goodnight Bette."

    "Goodnight T.

They both fell asleep quickly. They start out on opposite sides of the bed, but as they fall asleep the invisable boundary between them was broken quickly. Tina started to move closer to Bette and eventually draped her arm over Bette body and spooned her from behind. Bette enjoyed the feeling and did nothing to stop her. They alternated all night between spooning and holding each other. Tina was the first one to wake up and she realized that her body was practically on top of Bette. She moved quickly off her hoping that Bette hadn’t noticed. Bette had already been awake, but didn’t want to disturb Tina. She let Tina move off her and head to the bathroom before she began to stir. When Tina came back in the room she saw that Bette was awake.

    1. I really wish Tina was a little more… understanding toward Bette. I know she’s going through a tough time, but this is push and pull to the extreme. Bette’s being really supportive, but things would work better if they had a steady forward pace rather than starts and stops. Just do what feels natural, Tina, and stop caring about everything else. But don’t jump her when you get the happy memories and then kick her when you realize you don’t really know her. It’s not cool and it’d be the kinda of behavior that would eventually break up even the strongest of relationships. Anyway, this was a great update. PPS!

    2. Thanks for the update. I hope the weekend away alone brings them closer together. I think Bette is doing an amazing job of being supportive and loving with Tina. Maybe this time away without outside interference will help her to better understand where Tina is coming from so that it won’t feel so much like she’s going from one extreme to the other. I think Tina is doing the best she can under the circumstances too. I think her memories trigger her emotions, she acts on them but doesn’t have a foundation to keep building on at this point. That has got to be really frightening. Please post again soon.

    3. I feel for Tina. It’s not easy being her right now; she loves Bette but doesn’t remember much. And Bette is unusually ‘a saint’. Loving the story. Thk u.
