You Told Me You Love Me Part 8 (I)

Dana felt like shit. She had a terrible headache and wanted nothing but to throw up all the food she took just a while ago. She had been throwing up more often in these few days. And her head, it just hurt. Whenever her head was hurt she felt angry and wanted to smash everything in the room. But she couldn’t though. It will hurt her family and friends. And it will hurt Alice to see her in this condition.

Alice hadn’t been around for a week. The brunette was sad about it but knew better that both of them needed some break to sort things out. She knew that Alice had to go out for fresh air and was glad she did. And her friends were really great. They visited her everyday to just chat with her, read her news and bring her favourite juices. Dana knew that it was Alice that made her friends brought the juice over because only Alice knew what juices she liked. How they were done in Dana’s liking. She loved her friends for that but she knew they all had their own lives outside. After they had visited her for five consecutive days, Dana insisted that her friends only came twice a week and they had to make sure Alice did the same or else they had to answer to her. After a few rounds of arguments and hesitations they finally relented, which brought smiles to Dana’s face whenever she recalled how pissed Bette and Shane were. Dana looked out through the windows and sighed. She really missed her soul mate. She thought what she had done to deserve such a great woman in her life yet she drove her out from the room. She hoped to see her soon. Tears started to fall from her cheeks. The headache was getting more and more serious. Dana looked at the wall clock. It still had thirty minutes before the nurse came in to check her vitals. Her throat was dry. Her body was cold and she felt very tired. Her eyelids were shutting. She thought she needed some sleep. A very very long sleep. Alice, she muttered under her breath before the buzzer in her room went off.

“How is her condition?” Sharon asked as the doctor came out from the emergency room. Irwin and Howie stood beside her.

“The chemo has damaged some of her brain cells. I can ensure you it is not life threatening and we have check that the cancerous cells in her body is retreating tremendously, which is a good news. But..”

“But what?” Sharon faced was full of concern. Irwin and Howie stood beside her looking intently at the doctor.
