    A World Apart

    Ch. 8- Chasing the Predator

It’s been a whole day since Spencer told me about Ben and I was still infuriated. I couldn’t believe all that had happened and I hadn’t found out. One way or another, I should have found out about all of this. I have to do something about Ben. I thought to myself. What can I do that will take care of him. I can’t just put him in jail, and I can’t frame him. Aiden showed me that wont work. So, what is there left to do. I could always kill him! I probably shouldn’t even be thinking about this. However, it looks like the only way it will work. I need him gone… for good.
That’s when I was snapped out of my thoughts by someone moving next to me. I was laying in bed, and it must’ve been at least 11AM, because the sun was so bright.

“Hey,” she said scrunching up next to me.

    “Hey, how are you?”

“Good, is everything OK between us? You know, with the whole Aiden framing you, and then me telling you about Ben.”

“Can we not talk about Ben right now?” I didn’t want him to even be mentioned at such a wonderful moment like this. “But you know what I’ve been thinking?” I gave her time to respond if she needed to. After I didn’t hear a response I continued, “We still haven’t thanked that nice cop. We really owe him a lot.”

“Yea, what should we do? Invite him over for dinner?”

“Yea that would be nice. And, if he’s married we will invite his wife too. I know how I would feel if you were invited to someone’s place for dinner without me.”

“You’re probably right, good idea,” she agreed.

Later that evening, after Luke was invited over

All three of us were at the dinner table having a good time. As it turned out, he wasn’t married. That probably saved us a good time of explanation of why two women were living together. After Spencer brought out the food, which was steamed lobster with prime rib steak, we all sat down and had a wonderful conversation about how he had figured out that Aiden was the guilty one. Then the conversation turned ugly.

    3. hey it;s the writer here. tell me if you think I should stay writing stories and events like these, or should I spend more time focusing on the two girls. And if you think the second choice is better, I suck at writing about that stuff, so i’d need ideas.
