Ashley’s POV:

I woke up slowly to find one of Spencer’s arms gently draped across my stomach.  Her deep, rhythmic breathing telling me she was still very much asleep.  I shifted out from under her arm slowly and sat up to watch her sleeping.  I couldn’t resist touching her as I gently pushed a sun highlighted blonde lock of hair off her cheek. 

I marveled at how I had known her for such little time and yet it felt like I had known her my whole life.  It seemed so impossible that we should even know each other at all, coming from two very different walks of life.  For all those differences that were between us we shared such heart-wrenching similarities.

I gently pulled one of the tousled bed sheets around my body that was still tingling from last night’s activities.  I slipped from the bed and over to her dresser to find a pair of shorts and a tee.  I left my bag in her truck, which had my cell phone and more importantly a toothbrush.   Thankfully it was one of those accessories I always tried to keep with me.  I crept downstairs to find her keys and then out to the truck.  I had grabbed my bag and was walking back up the path the studio.

“Good morning Ashley!” a voice said from out of nowhere scaring the holy hell out of me and making me jump.

“Good morning, Sarah” I croaked as soon as got my voice back.  I felt a touch self conscious standing in just a pair of shorts and a tee talking to an overflowing wall of flowers.

“So did you and Spencer have a good evening?” She asked poking her head around the open patio gate.  I was still looking at the spot through the fence where I had last heard her voice.

“Uhh..yeah we did.  We had a great time actually.”  I said turning to her.  I could feel the color rising in my cheeks.  I was standing out here talking to her in Spencer’s clothes and she knew it.

“Of course you did.” Sarah replied with small knowing smile.  “Ellen and I have always thought you would get along well.
