    Don’t be so sure of yourself there Ashley, your girlfriend just couldn’t wait to get her hands back on me!

    Jena…you’re back early aren’t you?” I asked cooly

    “So it seems…you miss me?” Jena replied with a cocky smirk. Her jet black hair was shorter and she had it styled messily. It suited her. Her tan was darker, her eyes were bluer. She was a stunning girl.

    Was she fucking kidding me? Miss her? I glanced at Ashley sitting silently next to me who was still glaring. No, I sure as hell wasn‘t missing her now.

    “Jena…you fucked me over. You messed with my head and broke my heart. Worst of all you dumped me the day before you left for Italy by telling me that you wanted to start fucking guys again!! You didn‘t return my calls, you were just gone. I am so fucking over you Jena.” I spat. My voice was getting louder and louder with each statement. A few people were glancing at us as they walked by, but I didn’t care. I noticed I was standing on my feet and had my arms crossed as I confronted her.

    She just stood there for a moment absorbing the emotion I had flung back in her face.

    “I knew you would miss me.” She said smiling. My mouth dropped at her self assured statement. “Wait…Sorry Spencer. I meant to say I am sorry. I behaved badly and I threw everything that we had away when I left for Italy. I just got freaked out. I wasn’t ready to come out to everyone in my family and it was just too much pressure. I though it would be better to just be straight. I know now that I can’t be who I am not. I realized while I was gone that who I am is the person I was when I was with you. Come on Spencer. Let’s just give it another shot.” Jena blurted quickly.

    Ashley jumped up quickly and stepped next to me. She grabbed my hand and I turned to her. I was reeling from all this information. I saw the fear in Ashley’s eyes. I let mine tell her she had nothing to fear. Jena saw the interaction.

    “Who are you?” She shot at Ashley. I turned quickly back to Jena.

    I was ok with the fact that she used that bossy tone with me, but not Ashley. I was two seconds from unleashing all the fury that I never had the chance to give to her, but I didn’t get the chance.

    13. Twins? What an interesting twist to have a best friend that looks like the woman you once loved, now that is bizarre. I hope Spencer’s old feelings don’t get in the way of her relationship with Ashley. This doesn’t look good. oh the drama!!! Your writing never ceases to amaze me! PMS

    15. hey everyone! thanks for the great comments! i love the questions too because it shows you are really picking up the little details in the writing. Like Az asked…Why the heck didn’t Ashley think Jena was Kaylen? Maybe she did…but sometimes you just get stuck in a whirlwind situation and all reasonable thoughts leave you. Why the heck is spencer still hanging out with someone that that looks just like the girl that wrecked her? Does she hang out with Kaylen because they are truely friends or because Spencer can’t go? OH SO MANY QUESTIONS!! Hmmm the next post may answer some of this…ashspencefan…i couldn’t agree with you more…those ex’s are definitely ex’s for a reason!You guys rock!!
