Previously –
“Al I keep telling you that I’m not like everyone else. I’m not going to leave you because we disagree or have an argument. I may need time to be alone to think or calm down like when I went outside earlier or even when I left tonight, but I will always come back. I promise.” Alice just nodded as she cried on Dana’s shoulder.
“Besides, you can’t get rid of me that easily. I am in this for the long haul.” Dana and Alice both laughed.
Chapter 8 –
(Present)
Dana looked at Alice’s old apartment, said a final goodbye and pulled out of the parking lot. The apartment held plenty more memories, but she wanted to stretch her legs a bit and walk for a few minutes and she was afraid someone would call the police if they saw her walking around the parking lot. So Dana decided to go to the local city park that was a few blocks from campus. The park was very peaceful to her and a place she loved to go just to think. The park was also neutral territory to Dana and Alice and a place they would go to be alone to talk.
(November 2001)
A few days after Alice slept with Pete she decided to end things with Jay and Dana couldn’t be happier. They had talked things out and both admitted to making mistakes that night. They both wanted to work on having a relationship together and were trying to make things right. After picking up Dana from her dorm, Alice decided tonight was the night to end things with Jay. She didn’t want to go to his house alone so she asked Dana to go with her. Dana agreed, but chose to stay in the mini while Alice went inside to talk to Jay. After about twenty minutes Alice returned to the mini. She silently climbed into the car and started the engine. Dana noticed the tears rolling down Alice’s cheeks as they pulled out of Jay’s driveway.
“Are you ok Al?”
“I’m fine.” Alice wiped away a few tears with the back of her hand.
“Turn left at the stop sign.”
“Ok. Why?” Alice thought they were going to her apartment and wasn’t sure why Dana was telling her to go a different way.

I am thinking pretty much the same as MaGoose. Except, I would go even further to say that A was not acting responsibly. I find it very hard to accept her out right telling D that she was dating other people. WTF? How could she be so callous about it and at the same time telling D that she loved her. At present, I think D was more invested into this relationship than A. That was why D wanted to end her life?What a hopeless romantic! cougar, this is a terrific story, because this situation happens all the time and is sad. I feel for D being all alone reminiscing the yesteryears. Can’t wait for your next post. btw, 2 beautifully written NC-17 scenes from you and MaGoose consecutively is a rare Danish gem these day! Thank you very much!!!
I loved the update even though I think Alice is a bitch to Dana, I don’t think I woukd have put up with what Dana have to, I do how ever hope like everybody else for a happy ending..Loved it keep it up…
What a powerful chapter, cougar! Seriously… You churned up a lot of emotions. I love how this story shows the thoughts and feelings of Dana in both present day and when the events happened. I am glad Alice broke things off with Jay and seems to be opening up with Dana. I was initially very pissed at Alice for the Arkansas Jay thing. But now I am wondering if she is scared of the walls dropping and is trying to keep Dana from getting completely through the walls she has built. It was still a rotten thing to do, though. And I think Dana should either ask for them to be exclusive or maybe date someone else herself so Alice knows what it feels like. Obviously they work out something to be together for five years. You are getting the hang of the NC-17, I see. Very well done. Heh. Thanks so much. I have found myself to be really caught up in this story and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
that was a lot of emotions for one chapter but being an alice and dana story it the only way it should be can’t wait to read the next chapter so pps great update I love it
4 personal reasons al ia m saying…OOHH BOY…but on another note..that was a truly NC-17 story..brings bak memories of one of my past relationships..cant wait till ch. 9
great chapter! im dying to know what happened between them and why wouldn’t alice talk to her. ahh alice wat is she doing? does she realise that shes hurting dana or is she really oblivious to it? Is it okay that she’s sorta cheating with guys i wonder how dana would react if it was a lady alice got with hmmmm im sorry i want to know so badly lol.
