My Life, My Love, My Soul…My Forever Ch. 13

They could hear the chatter among their friends as the two women slowly walked up to their favorite West Hollywood cafe.

    "C’mon Alice,"

"No!" The blonde squealed. "I’m not telling you Tasha. You’ll have to wait and see!"

As they came up onto the cafe, Bette could see their friends sitting at the usual table. Shane was smoking a cigarette with a coffee in hand, Helena was engaged in conversation between Alice and Tasha, and Max was readying a video camera pointed towards a couch next to the table.  As Bette and Tina continued to enter the cafe hand in hand, Bette noticed one particular man sitting at a table across from Max.

    "Tom’s here…" Bette whispered into Tina’s ear.

    "Tom?" Tina inquired.

"Jodi’s Tom," Bette replied nervously. She scanned the room, but no sign of Jodi. Tom was sitting at the table entertaining a small child with dark hair and wearing a pink dress.

As they rounded the cafe to the table with all their friends, they nonchalantly sat in the two empty seats aside Shane.

"Hey guys," Alice said as she was in the midst of telling Shane and Helena a story of her latest scandal on the view.

Bette and Tina looked at each other and smiled – both anticipating the soon-to come reaction from Alice.  Shane looked over to Bette and smiled widely, but Bette held up a finger to Shane to silently ask her to wait until Alice’s mental light bulb turned on.

"Isn’t that right Tina?" Alice questioned. Just after Alice said Tina’s name, her face contorted into a confused yet giddy expression and an ear-bleeding shriek escaped her lips. "O my god, TINA!" She jumped out of her chair and ran around the table to hug the barely-standing blonde. She squeezed Tina to the point where Tina couldn’t inhale any fresh air. "I missed you so much," Alice confessed, clinging onto Tina’s form.

"Alice, let her breathe," Tasha directed.

"BETTE!" Alice squealed as she turned to face the brunette who was a decent bit taller than her.

"Hi Alice," Bette said as she hugged Alice back.

Max made his way over to the table after grabbing his daughter.
