"This is exactly how Misty and Gabrielle failed to activate their powers. For one, Misty refused to turn Gabrielle immortal so Gabby’s powers only worked at the last minute before she died and if she had been a vampire, she would still be alive." Arial said, not minding that she insulted her sister.

I dropped my jaw in awe. Evana had released her power and she was looking more alive than I had ever seen her in the time I’ve known her.

"Misty and Gabrielle were developing their unique abilities but at dangerous levels since neither of them chose to balance it out by turning Gabrielle immortal. Misty was ignorant and that’s why she couldn’t battle me; her unique ability refused to be used by an unbalanced mistress." Evana continued, ignoring the fact Odette and Judith were offended by her blunt criticism on my ancestor.

I, however, was paying attention closely because I do not want Spencer and I to end up the same way Misty and Gabrielle did.

"So, if I were to be turned immortal by Ashley, then our connection would finally allow us to use our hidden powers?" Spencer asked suddenly, her confidence beginning to expose itself again. She was a strong girl, not letting personal frustrations affect her involvement in this so-called war.

Evana and Arial both smirked. "Spencer Carlin is a mortal yet she understands her part in this far better than the rest of you. You remind me of my sister, Gabrielle, her brilliance often showed under pressure but there’s something about you that makes you far more powerful and intelligent." Arial declared, thriving in success as her comment made Spencer blush.

Odette spoke this time after letting this situation get out of hand. "Wait, what part? What the hell are you talking about and why I haven’t I killed you yet? You deserve to be under my feet after what you did to Ashley and Kyla’s ancestor!" She shouted, wanting to strangle Evana but was forced to restrain herself by Judith’s soft voice.

"Don’t attack, Odette. We can trust them." She said, now walking towards me with arms open wide enough to embrace me lovingly as she always did. Evana gazed at Judith this time, for awhile actually before she happily thanked her. "Why, you must be Judith. Evana at your service, my lady." Evana took a graceful bow along with Arial, who was pleased that somebody could finally trust them.
