‘Thanks May, means a lot,’ at the mention of the girls name Maggie looked stunned.

‘You’re May?’ She turned to her companion in surprise.

‘Yep,’ May chuckled, a warm sound, like honey and I noticed Maggie lose her cool for a second, interesting.

‘I’m so sorry,’ Maggie was flustered and had actually gone red. I exchanged a look with Austin who almost choked again at her sister’s completely uncharacteristic lack of control.

‘S’OK, I could have corrected you but I wanted to have a bit of fun.’ She shrugged but didn’t elaborate; neither did Austin or Maggie so I let it lie, probably something to do with the party.

‘Even so, I’m sorry.’ Maggie apologised and I watched in stunned amazement as she seemed to come over a little shy. Fuck me this was going to be an interesting evening.

‘OK, May?’ The newly named girl nodded. ‘No offence but who the hell are you and who invited you to the party?’ Austin was getting a little pissed now.

At any other time I would be amused but now I wanted answers too. Even though Spencer had made it clear we were together I still wanted to know who the fuck she was and why she’d thought my girlfriend was ‘fuckable’. OK, yes two points there. One, I might as well start to call her my girlfriend. Makes life easier and she had just said as much to someone outside the group so she was obviously Ok with it. Two? I was jealous. Very jealous. This girl was gorgeous and definitely in Spencer’s league. Before I could get too caught up in my thoughts Spencer spoke.

‘Seeing as I’m the only one who’s met you shall I do the introductions?’ Spencer smiled warmly the newcomer who laughed.

‘Sure babe, might as well,’ she shrugged and waited for Spencer to do the honours.

‘Guys, this is May, she lives with Bella, Cleo, Thea, and Beth.’ Spencer made the introductions and everyone relaxed.

Well I did and I saw Annie lean into Austin. There had been a noticeable gap between the usually cosy couple. Austin stopped looking as though she was going to pass out and Maggie seemed to have regained her composure. I took a minute to study my friend but nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary now. Maybe she was human when it came to incredibly hot girls, enough to lose it a bit occasionally? Psssh! Who the fuck was I kidding! Maggie never lost her cool. Spencer had told me the whole story of how they had ended up together and although Spencer had initiated it, Maggie had perused Spencer and suggested their arrangement. Austin had told me about the couple and although Spencer was definitely the top there, Maggie certainly wasn’t the flustered wreck I’d just witnessed. I’d have to ask her about it later, maybe I was just so attuned to the new girl’s presence I was over analyzing everything in my desperation to figure out why May seemed so intimate with Spencer.
