Complexities – (Chapter: 1)
"JAK JAK?! WHERE YOU GO?!"
"Hey." an unfamiliar voice calls out.
"HEY!" the voice repeats.
I turn around and see a blonde…. soaking wet in a bikini with mirrored aviators on. "I think I have something of yours in my back yard."
My eyes take in the sight. Looking from her toes to her dripping hair.
I can’t seem to process what she has said although she paused for a minute waiting for my reply.
"Umm. What?"
She smiles in return.
"Your dog. She’s in my pool"
"Uhhhh. Sorry about that."
"Haha its fine…she’s a cutie. Wanna come get her before I change my mind about giving her back?"
"Oh. Haha. Um. Yeah."
I follow the older blonde into the house. My eyes looking around the house… the ceiling… the grey carpet. Pretty much every single place except her body… Mainly her full, perfectly rounded ass. It’s not a huge house… but it’s nice. Two bedrooms maybe. Big kitchen.
"So… why are you so muddy?"
I look down at my shirt and remember the collision. Embarrassed I say I was playing with my dog. She smiles back.
Fumbling with my muddy shirt, she continues to smile at me while I continue to look at her legs.
"Do you live around here?" she asks politely
"Yeah. I live on 8th street." I say in between calls to my dog, attempting to get her out of the pool.
"Oh. I haven’t seen you around. You go to Spring View High or what?"
"No. I go to Auburn High."
"Really? Me too. What grade are you in?"
"I’m a sophomore. You?
"Senior. Are you new?"
"Yeah"
"Where you from?"
"Burlington, Ontario."
"Oh"
Silence falls in between us awkwardly and Jak finally crawls out of the pool. Shaking all her water onto me… as if I don’t have enough mud and slush on me already.
"I’m Spencer." the girl with the aviators says.
"Ashley." She smiles an award winning smile and offers her hand for me to shake which I gladly do.
"How do you like it here Ashley?"
"Well… I don’t really know. All I’ve seen is the houses really. I just got here like… Last Wednesday… or something."
She sits back down on her lawn chair and leans back. Giving me a great view of her body. Normally I wouldn’t obsess over any girl’s body but hell its perfect. As my eyes scan over her body, I can’t tell if she is watching me or not. The mirrored glasses still remain over her eyes.
"You know… you should meet my brother. How old are you?"
My mind is almost clouded with the image of her body.
"Fif fifteen"
Her lips curl up
"He just turned sixteen yesterday." Her smile turns into a chuckle. "But the more you stare at me Ashley, the more I think you won’t enjoy my brother too much"
My mind goes blank.
"What?" my cheeks burn with embarrassment and panic. "No. No…I’m sorry. I’m not like that. Swear." I attempt an innocent voice.
"Haha. Sure." She lifts herself up and walks through the slider door.
"GLEN!!! COME DOWN HERE!!! I WANT YOU TO MEET SOMEONE!!"
Great. My one chance at a friend, not to mention an extremely hot, tan, long legged senior friend, thinks I’m gay. Or realizes I am.
A blonde boy rushes down the stairs groaning. His hair is about to his ears. He has one of those hair cuts where it looks like he wore a hat his whole entire life until a few days ago. The ‘skater’ hair I guess it’s called.
"What do you want Spencer?"
"Geeze. I’m trying to get you to meet this hot chick outside. Sorry for doing you a favor."
My cheeks turn beat red.
They both walk out similantiously. She returns her spot on the chair and he walks up to me.
He extends his hand and I shake it.
"I’m Glen."
"Ashley."
He isn’t that bad looking.
Dark blue eyes. Rounded face, but not fat.
But he definitely isn’t extremely good looking.
Nothing compared to his older sister.
I look at the clock and realize I’ve been gone for two hours.
"Well… Uhh. Its nice meeting you both but I should get home."
"Aw." Spencer says. "I wanted to see some sparks fly."
Glen turns around and death glares at Spencer and she just laughs.
This whole thing is pretty damn awkward.
At least to me it is.
For all I know some random dog jumps into Spencer’s pool each week and its common for her.
But not for me.
"Well… I guess I’ll see you round." Glen says.
"Guess so." I say.
Spencer removes her aviators and stands up walking towards me.
Her eyes are neon blue. Glowing with radiance I haven’t seen from any one.
"I’m glad your Jak Jak jumped in my pool."
My eyebrows curve down giving a questioning look.
Her electric eyes look me up and down, giving me chills.
"See you at school Ash."
She winks at me as I gather Jak up and take her out front.
I wave to them both as I begin to run back in the direction from which I came.
I guess starting school Monday won’t be as horrible as it sounds.
