DAWN: The unauthorized new finale to the Twilight series
”.
“Alice made it for you,” Edward laughed, “A sort of wedding gift.” I smiled as my thumb slid across the smooth fabric. “Alright, now,” Said Edward, “Turn around.”
My eyes widened. Edward had taken us to our meadow. But the meadow was different this time. An elegant picnic tent had been set up in the center, and the front flaps were tied open to reveal the inside. A lantern hang down in the center over a velvet faint couch, which stood on a beautiful tapestry, the scene displaying a moonlit watering hole. A pedestal stood beside the faint chair, fruit and chocolates piled on top. My lullaby flowed out of a small battery operated stereo. I could see the repeat button pressed down.
“Oh, Edward,” I whispered. He put his hands around my waist from behind.
“I thought you’d like it,” He whispered back, kissing me lightly on the cheek.
I slowly walked toward the tent, afraid it would vanish once I got near. Below the music, I could faintly hear the trickle of the stream, serenity flowing through me.
As I entered the tent, my shoulder brushed through the leaves of fake plants. I looked around the edges of the tent. Edward had positioned many fake trees and flowers, creating our own forest. Edward scooped me up in his arms and carried me to the faint couch. He placed me softly down. I pulled his lips to mine and kissed him, taking firm hold of the back of his neck.
He surrendered and laid next to me. My hands went around his back as he moved on top of me. We pulled away, staring into each other’s eyes. Slowly, I pulled off his shirt, the stony white skin almost seemed to shimmer, although that would be impossible at the moment. He kissed me, and I held him tightly as he pulled off my sweater, making me glad I had gone for the black bra, not the teddy bear print. I pulled my hair out of its pony tail.
“Are you sure we’re safe here tonight?” I whispered.
“Don’t worry,” He whispered back, “I’ll protect you from whatever can happen.”
I kissed him, so quickly that he fell off the faint couch, taking me with him. He landed on his back, me landing on him. I put my lips to his once again, and he rolled me over, and I landed softly on the tapestry. I kicked my shoes off, as he also did. My legs wrapped around his waist as we continued to hold each other.
