What is going on? Paula thought as everyone herded into the dining room, taking a seat at the table.
“Paula I think it’s time for a bigger table…” Everyone laughed as they took in the crowd around the 6 person table now holding 8. Everyone was clumped together on the sides while Arthur and Paula sat at the heads.
“Can you imagine trying to fit my future wife in here? And then when we have kids… Yea, I think its time for an upgrade.” Glen joked. Ashley looked to her left to Spencer asking with her eyes if now was a good time? Spencer nodded and sighed as she watched her family serve themselves.
“Speaking of that… Ash and I have some news we want to share with you.” After the sentence left her lips Paula’s eyes widened. Everything clicked inside her brain, and she abruptly stood up mumbling something about forgetting something and walked into the kitchen. Ashley watched her with sad eyes as Spencer sat confused along with everyone else. “What was that about?”
“I’ll handle it, but first why don’t we share our good news.” Spencer looked at her questioningly before she finally understood. She nodded and then turned to the rest of the table.
“I’m pregnant.” The group’s jaws dropped almost in sync with each other. “Ashley and I are going to start our family.” Spencer smiled over at Ashley and they intertwined their fingers on top of the table.
“Congratulations!” Chelsea was the first to rise and give both girls a hug. But she was quickly followed by everyone else as the girls sat and got bombarded with questions.
“Well we actually have been for a few months now, we just wanted to wait and see what we were having before we told the family.” Spencer answered to one of the first questions that were thrown at them. She bypassed the first, the one about who the ‘donor’ was. Arthur was surprisingly one of the quieter ones at the table. And the look in his eye was breaking Spencer’s heart. She never once thought that he would be anything less than ecstatic.
“Well, what is it?” Clay asked as everyone leaned forward, determined to not miss the answer. Spencer smiled over at Ashley. “I don’t know… Ash?”

Spencer broke Ashley’s heart for her parents! When you’re married you are for that person not your parents. She put Ash through the pain of watching Spencer have sex and then of figuring out she lied to her. Who does that! And now Ash is feeling wrong about the baby which is completely understandable! Ashley has been there for Spencer 100% and Spencer needs to recognize that and be there for Ashely. PMS!

OMG! Spencer. Just think of how much better things would be if you had just told her the real reason. If I was Ashley, I would be having a hard time with this too. I don’t know if I could have done it the “natural” way with my girlfriend in the first place. That took a lot of love on Ashley’s part for Spencer. And then to find this out! Ugh! Through her parents! Ugh! Spencer you’ve got to fix this somehow… Great update..

Spencer should’ve told the truth about her parents and now there is this rift of deceit that has divided this loving family. I hope Spencer and Ashley can work this out before the baby is born. Great story – Please don’t make us wait too long before the next update.
