From the Beginning – (Chapter: Chapter 17: No Place Like Home)

"Alright, Spence, what’s been on your mind? This have something to do with that Aiden boy?"

Spencer stiffled a giggle. "No, dad. It doesn’t have anything to do with any boy. It has to do with me, and only me."

"Okay, so what is up with Spencer?"

"Dad, this is really important. There is something about me you need to know, something I need you to know…"

Just then the door to the office burst open. Paula was standing in the doorframe, with Glen right at her heals.

"Spencer I have to talk to you right now." Paula’s face was red and her voice sounded like she had run from the driveway.

"In a few minutes, Spencer and I are talking right now." Arthur glared at her, he hated when she barged into his office.

"Nooo, NOW! Spencer I want to know right now what is going on with Ashley… start talking."

"I told you, she will talk to you in a couple of minutes." Arthur made his way to the door, almost slamming it in her face and locking it.

Spencer was in tears. She knew that Glen had opened his big mouth and there was no turning back.

"What is all this about Spence? And what is all this about Ashley?"

"Well, it doesn’t really have anything to do with Ash, but she is connected." Spencer shifted in her seat, knowing she only had a short time to speak before her mother’s anger built.

"Dad," Spencer choked back a sob. "I’m gay."

    Silence fell over the room.

    "Say something…"

    "And Ashley?"

"I love her, dad. I don’t know what else to tell you."

Arthur took a deep breath. A soft voice fell from his lips. "Are you happy."

"Yes, for the first time ever, I am happy and it’s because of Ashley."

"It’s going to be okay honey. No matter what we will always be there for you."

"I know you will. Dad, please help me talk to mom?"

"Of course I will. C’mon, lets go get this overwith."

Arthur opened the door to the office to find Glen and Paula already sitting around the kitchen table.

    "Glen, go to your room."

"But dad, I have to tell you what is going on with Spencer."

    1. I was so glad to hear Arthur tell Paula to shut the fuck up! It’s about time someone told her shut that judgmental pie hole! I’m so glad that Spencer and Ashley will be living together…I love where this story is going. PMS
