Ashley’s POV

When I got home I saw my mom and my older sister Kyla, who’s in college at the University of Toledo, sitting in the kitchen talking about something they saw on Oprah. God, I love that show.

"Hey mom, hey Ky. Kyla can I have a ride over to someone’s house in a little bit?"

"Yeah, who’s house?"

"Uh, Spencer, Spencer Carlin." When I said that I was going to Spencer’s my mom spit out the water she was drinking.

"Spencer as in the girl you’ve hated since kindergarten?" Kyla asked

"Yeah, we got the lead roles in the school play, sooo…"

"Ooohh I remember when I was lead in the school play! What’s it about this year?"

"It’s called Love Sees No Gender, and it’s kind of like a lesbian Romeo and Juiet."

"And you and Spencer got the roles of the two girls who fall in love?"

"Yeah..ew. So can you take me over there in about an hour, Kyla?"

"Sure, Ash just tell me when you’re ready."

No one’s POV

When Ashley headed up to her room and Ashley’s mom, Christine looked at Kyla and smiled.

"You know, Ky. If those two weren’t so hard-headed they could see how hopelessly in love with each other they are."

"I know, but I’ve got a good feeling about this play." Kyla said with a wink.

About an hour later Ashley came down, wearing her Paramore t-shirt, American Eagle pants, and her converse.

"Hey, Kyla, I’m ready to go!"

"Okay c’mon!"

Kyla already knew the way to Spencer’s because she’d been over there tons of times to hang out with Spencer’s older sister, Michelle, who was the same ae as her and also goes to UT.

When they got to Spencer’s Kyla turned to Ashley

"Hey I think I’m gonna come with you. I haven’t hung out with Michelle in forever."

"Really? You two were BFF’s!"

"Yeah but we’ve both been kinda busy lately with school and work and all that stuff."

"Oh, yeah."

When they got up to the front door, Michelle answered.

"Kyla! Ashley! Where ya been lately?!" Ashley had always wondered why someone as evil as Spencer got such a nice sister like Michelle.

"Oh around and about." Kyla said "Busy as hell!"
