“Hey,” she breathed out once I’d gotten down the stairs. I looked at her with a smile and a head tilt.

            “Hi,” I replied somewhat shyly.

            “Ready to go?” I simply nodded my head and she offered her arm out to me.

            “Honey,” my dad called from the kitchen. “When are you planning on being home?” I looked over at Ashley expectantly. This whole thing was her idea. I had no idea how late she’d want to stay out.

            “I’ll have her home at a decent hour, Mr. C. And she’s more than welcome to spend the night,” she replied for me. This caused me to raise my eyebrow in question. We hadn’t discussed a sleepover. She patted her purse and winked at me. “You just might have to spend the night,” she told me in a husky whisper. I felt a shiver pass through me at the tone in her voice, and gladly followed her to the car, extremely interested in what the night would hold.

            We got to the club and waited a bit in line. It wasn’t too long before we got close to the entrance. A guy bouncer was working the door. Just our luck!  She’d briefly filled me in on her plan.

            “Shit, babe!” I exclaimed. “I totally forgot to bring my wallet!” She pouted in response.

            “Damnit! I just wanted to dance with you tonight!” She replied in a whiny voice. She then wrapper an arm around my waist and pulled me close, our chests touching. “I’ve had such a long week,” she said in her husky yet loud voice.

            “Excuse me, ladies,” the bouncer said, clearly interested in our outfits and how close we were to each other. “I’m sure it won’t be too much of a problem to just let you ladies in,” he told us while attempting to look down Ashley’s shirt. She gave him a grin and pulled me behind her.

            “Thanks,” she said while placing a hand on his shoulder. I had to admit, she knew what she was doing! “Ugh! It’s so much easier getting in when it’s two girls! I swear, guys are so predictable!” she told me over the loud music. “It’s impossible to get in when it’s just Aiden and me! But I imagine you and Kyla manage to get in for free a lot.” I shook my head no.
