I Write Sins Not Tragedies – (Chapter: Spencer reflects)

“Scared, huh?” she asked. I just nodded. “Yeah, I know how that is. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve been in this house alone, it doesn’t get any easier to spend the nights by myself. It’s creepy.” I nodded again, not really up for saying anything at the moment. She sighed and held out her hand. “Well, you’re more than welcome to share my room. If you don’t mind sleeping on the couch that is.”

“Sure, that’s fine,” was all I said. I followed her to her room, and she handed me a pair of boxers and a wife beater. She showed me her bathroom and told me to feel free using whatever I needed. I emerged a few minutes later to find that the couch had been turned into a makeshift bed. She had a pair of pjs in her hand and headed to the bathroom herself. I grinned as an idea donned upon me. I walked right past the couch, and placed myself in the middle of her bed, under the covers, and closed my eyes. It was a few minutes before she came out of the bathroom.

“HEY!” she cried out! “No, no, no! Bed mine, couch yours,” she said in a teasing tone. I simply lifted up my head, looked up at her, shook my head, and then rested it back onto her pillow. “Ugh! Fine! Have it your way!” She straddled my waist, which forced me to hold back a groan, and started to tickle me.

“NO!!!” I screamed out while laughing. “Stop! Please, stop!” I was still laughing and moving erratically underneath her. “I’ll sleep on the couch!” I exclaimed. This got her to stop, and as I looked up into her eyes, I noticed that her eyes were darker, and her face more serious. I gasped as I recognized that look. It was the same look Kyla got in her eyes when she was aroused. Only for some reason, it looked slightly different on Ashley. Three was more lust there, more desire, and I couldn’t look away. She bent down close to my ear, and I could feel her hot breath on my skin.

“My sister and I tend to have quite a mean competition streak,” she began. “Perhaps, you can help settle something for us?” I simply nodded my head slowly, unable to get anything out. “Could you let me know, who’s the better kisser?” And before I could say anything else, she kissed me. That rational side of my brain screamed out that I was dating Kyla…her sister! But that was quickly stomped out once her tongue hungrily grazed my lower lip begging for entrance. I was lost the moment our tongues met.

We should’ve stopped, but we couldn’t. All rationale had left my mind, and all I could concentrate on was the lithe body on top of me. I soon flipped her over as I noticed her hesitancy start to appear. We were now removing clothes, and while I could tell that she wanted this, I also knew she was nervous. She’d never been with another girl, and I never stopped to ask myself why me. I just allowed my body to take over. You spend so much of your pre-teen years watching those stupid Family Life and sex-ed videos that pretty much show guys and girls how to have sex with each other. There’s nothing that helps show girls how to have sex with each other, how to please another girl. So I spent that night showing her what felt the best, and letting her explore my body. We didn’t fall asleep until five in the morning.

Looking back on that night, I realize how lucky we were that Kyla didn’t come home until Sunday. I knew that night that that wouldn’t be our last. Part of me told myself that I should feel guilty, but I never did. I simply equated my time with Ashley as really fantastic sex. No feelings involved. Little did I know that the small talks we’d have after sex would lead us to get to know each other better than we had thought, and evidently cause her to fall in love with me. Since I’d never entertained the idea of Ashley loving me, I had one very important thing to figure out. Did I love Ashley?
