My smile falters with you – (Chapter: The stars and moon watched from above)

“Sorry to interrupt your conversation.” Spencer whispered causing Ashley to whip round. “What are you doing here?”

“Right what am I doing here…” She had been going over what she was going to say before Spencer had come out, but seeing her beautiful face had thrown her.

“That’s what I just asked.” Spencer was confused by the girls appearance and weird behaviour, not that she wasn’t happy at any excuse to see the girl. “Is everything ok?”

    “No.”

“No?” She asked worried about the girl

“Yes but no.” Her words weren’t coming out right.

    “Which is it?”

“Everything is ok in general but I’m not ok right now.” This was more difficult that she had expected. And took a couple of steps to stand in front of the blonde.

    “What’s wrong?”

    “You.”

“Me?” She asked shocked that she had done something.

“Yes you…I can’t get you out of my head.”

“And that’s my fault?” Spencer asked with a smile.

“Yes, because you shouldn’t be so beautiful and funny and completely perfect for me. I wake up and think of you and I go to bed and think of you, and do you know what I do all in-between then?” Spencer shook her head. “think of you.”

    “Ashley what are you saying?”

“I’m saying, I love you, I have since the day you made me spilt my coffee and from that first moment our hands touched.” Ashley looked up and could see Spencer’s eyes glistening with tears that matched her own. “Oh god I’m rubbish at this.”

“You’re better than you think.” Spencer said rubbing away a tear that had fallen. “What about Soph?”

“Apparently even she knew its only ever been you Spence, we broke up tonight.” Ashley took a deep breath there was still so much she wanted to say. “I mean when I look into the future, there is so much I don’t know, like what job I will be doing, where I will settle down but what I do see is you, where ever I end up your with me. And I know we’re young and so much can happen, there is just something here.” They were both stand opposite each other with their faces stained with tears. “Well I have said a lot…”
