    Author Notes:

    I just shut my eyes, take a deep breath and begin to tell her my story.

    I frown confused and ask, “Pick up what?”

    “Us. I’m back now. We can be together, Spencer. I still love you, sweetie.” Allison says quietly

    I just shake my head and say, “That’s in the past now, Allison. I don’t want to go back to that. I’ve been happy with the relationship we have had up to now. Besides, you’re not the same person I fell in love with. You’ve turned into a complete heart less bitch. I don’t even want to be your friend anymore.” I say firmly as I look her in the eyes.

    I immediately see the hurt in them. I feel bad for hurting her but I couldn’t lie either. After a minute of awkward silence she quietly says, “Are you sure you don‘t want me around anymore? Don‘t you even want to know what I found out about your little Ashley? I guarantee that there are things you would want to know.”

    “No, I don‘t want to hear ANYTHING you have to say about Ashley. She‘ll tell me about her past when she‘s ready. As far as you go, yes, that‘s what I want.”

    Her shoulders slump but she begins walking out of the apartment. When she gets to the door she turns around and says, “I’m not going to stop, Spencer. I just want you to know that. When you get bored with your new little toy I’ll be waiting. It won’t take long.”

    “She’s not a toy!” I scream

    With that she walks out, slamming the door hard. I just shake my head to clear my mind and begin getting a tray ready to take in to Ashley. Once I had everything ready I walk back to my bedroom and I see that she’s just laying on my bed staring at the ceiling with tears running down her face. As always, seeing her cry makes my heart begin to hurt immediately. I silently walk over to the bed, place the tray at the foot of it, and take a seat next to her. As I gently start running my fingers through her curls I softly ask, “What’s wrong, Ash? Does it hurt really bad?”

    She shakes her head, looks away and whimpers, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to monopolize your time or complicate your life. I’m so sorry.”
