Stormy Horizons – (Chapter: Ch. 1- Into the Looking Glass)

“Alright, I’m awake.” I moaned as I sat up. I lived in a small split-level house that was larger than what my 5-person family needed. I, however, liked the space. I heard that the house we had picked out in LA was almost the exact same. My bedroom was a perfect square, about 15 feet by 15 feet. It wasn’t exactly a giant room, but it would work. As I got out of my bed, I slipped on y slippers and walked downstairs to be greeted by my dad.

“Hey, I made your favorite: French toast.’ he stated as he put the toast on my plate and handed it to me. To be honest, I didn’t feel like eating. All I could think about was that brown-haired bombshell from my dreams. The only thing I knew about her was her looks and that her name was Ashley Davies. I also knew that it was a fools wish that she was a real person, but I had always been a wisher. Who was I kidding, she probably never existed. I’ve bet on luck before, but this was ridiculous. It was probably better to forget the whole thing. It was final, Ashley didn’t exist!

Ashley woke with a start. I had had one of those dreams again. I was on the beach with an amazing blond girl. She had sparkling blue eyes and amazing curves on every inch of her body. She kept on having the dream over and over again. Whoever this girl was, she was amazing. She would say to me “I love you, Ashley Davies.” in the sweetest voice you’d ever hear. I would then plant a wet kiss right on her cheek. We would stand there for what seemed like a half hour, when I would shatter the silence by saying,

“I love you so much Spencer Carlin. I’m sop glad you moved from Washburn. I couldn’t stand it if you stayed in Ohio.” We would then caress until dawn, and every morning at dawn, right as the sun hit our eyes, the dream would end. Now, I knew better than to think this meant something. Dreams aren’t visions. They don’t mean anything. However, the vividness of the dream was so lifelike.

    1. I love it. I just do…right away I was immediately drawn into the style. It’s almost novel-esque and it makes for a very unique read in the fan fiction world of constant dialogue. It’s hard to pull off, but when it’s done right it’s amazing. Nice job. I anxiously await the next installment.
