    Ashley took over the lyrics again.

    She pointed at me and the crowed went crazy.  There were people on the dance floor dancing slowly and I was envious that I wasn’t out there with Ashley.  But at the same time watching her sing to me was driving me wild.

    As Ashley finished singing she unclipped her guitar strap and hopped of the front of the stage.  Margaret and Tara kept up the background music. The crowed was cheering wildly as Ashley weaved her way through the people on the dance floor to our booth.  I felt tears stinging my eyes as I threw my arms around her.  She pulled back a little and held my face in her hands. 

     

    “So do you feel the same Spence?  I mean what do you think about you and me, nobody else, just us?  I mean no pressure… you only have like 500 people watching you and if you say you won’t be my girlfriend they might start a riot.”  She said quickly with a laugh.  I felt one small tear escape the corner of my eye and she wiped it way with her thumb.

     

    “Please tell me that was a good tear.” She said nervously.  I still hadn’t said anything.  I wasn’t sure my voice would work.
