    I just wanted everything to go back to the way it was before, but before what?

     

    My breathing was getting shorter and faster.  The calm, cool, tough as nails Davies exterior was melting faster than a snowball in Hell.  I whipped in to a parking spot at Aiden’s apartment complex.  I sprinted to the stairs.  I needed Aiden and I needed him now.  I busted through his door with out knocking and bounded into the living room.

     

    “AID…” I stopped mid yell. “Oh shit..damn you guys I am really sorry.” I said quickly turning around from the sight of Aiden and Kaylen.  Kaylen was wearing only her underwear and a tank that belonged to Aiden and they were wrapped up in each other leaning back against a living room wall. 

     

    “Damn” I said again. “I am sorry I should have knocked Aid but I am just in the habit of coming in and I really needed to talk to you and shit I am really sorry.” I rambled quickly.  “I can wait outside if you …”

     

    “Ashley.” I heard Kaylen’s gentle voice address me. “Breathe, it’s ok.  I am running late and need to get in the shower and get back to my place. So you are actually doing us a favor.”

     

    “Favor!?” Aiden piped up.  “More like cock-blockin’”

     

    I heard a hand slap skin and Aiden yelp.

     

    “I know Aid, I am really sorry.” I replied still turned away from them.

     

    “ ‘Shley you can turn around.” Aiden said.  “Kaylen’s right, she is running late to meet Jena and Spencer.” He continued.

     

    I whipped around at the realization that MY Spencer was probably at Kaylen’s apartment…alone with the ‘evil’ twin.  It didn’t help my panic situation at all.

     

    “Fuck! Kaylen what are you doing here!!” I yelled dramatically.

     

    “Uuuhhh…girlfriend status.  I figure I am entitled.” Kaylen replied with a confused look.

     

    “No, I mean you should be at your place. You know…..mediating them.  Spencer is already there and your sister is probably working evil ‘come back to me’ magic on her.” I blurted quickly. 

     

    My rational thought had left me.  I had a good visual of a very beautiful girl, still in her underwear, standing right before me and her carbon copy was alone with Spencer and all their unresolved angst.  It was too much for me to handle and I felt tears leaking out of my eyes.  The possibility of loosing her seemed so real at that moment.
