    I had all these memories of Jena flashing through my head…good memories.

     

    “So did you guys figure it all out?” Aiden asked softly.

     

    “Oh, Aid I don’t know.” I said as I turned around. “I will be ok, but Spencer and Jena….and Ashley….” I let my words trail off.   He pulled me into his strong arms, which is just what I needed.  I had told Aiden everything about the whole past year’s drama.  Unlike Ashley he had known that Jena was my twin.  He had been so patient about listening to me spill my anger and frustrations with my sister. 

     

    “So is my dear friend, sleeping innocently on the couch, going to be ok with the results of tonight?” He asked gently.  I looked up at him.  God, I loved this boy.  I was so glad that we weren’t facing a situation like this.

     

    “I hope so Aiden.  Spencer is so overwhelmed with what she learned tonight.  As much as I love Jena and want her to be happy, I want Spencer to make the decision that is right for her…whether that includes Jena or not, you know?”

     

    Aiden nodded.  “Man, I am so glad we don’t have to worry about anything like this.”

     

    “We better not punk!” I said punching him playfully in the chest.

     

    Ashley’s voice came from the living room.  “Kaylen is that you…did Spencer go home before you came over?”

     

    I pulled reluctantly out of Aiden’s embrace and walked back to the living room.

     

    “No Ash…she didn’t.” I said softly.  Ashley sat up on the couch and looked blankly at the wall.

     

    “Should I go over there or call her?”  She asked.

     

    I thought about what I should say carefully.  I hoped to God that my instincts about Spencer were right tonight.  “I think you should give Spencer what my sister couldn’t…trust.  Just trust her Ashley.  I know it is driving you mad that she is over there alone, but I really think that she won’t let you down.  Wait for her to come to you.” I replied gently

     

    Ashley got off the couch and looked at me.  “Thank you Kaylen.  It means a lot to me that you have been a shoulder for me to lean on to.  Especially when I know that you have loyalties to Jena and Spencer before me.”
