"Spencer, you just have to trust me.  I love you.  Only you.  You can’t do this to me."  I beg.

"I have to, Ash.  It isn’t fair.  You should experience this while you can, and I don’t want to get my heart broken."  She said.

"But, isn’t it breaking your heart right now to walk away from me, to walk away from us?"  I ask tears flowing down my teenage face.

"Yes, but I’d rather live without you than knowing that you could be with someone else."  She said.

"Spence, please don’t do this."  I beg.

"I have to.  I love you.  That is why I have to."  She said walking away as the tears stream down her face.  That was the first time she broke my heart.

Then, there was that time that I broke her heart….

She just stood up and walked away.  She walked right through the club, and she stopped outside.  She didn’t drive so I knew she wasn’t leaving.  I ran after her.  When I got there, she had began to walk.  Suprisingly, there were not a lot of people out there.

"Spencer, Spencer wait."  I yelled, and she turned around.  Thank God she turned around.

"Why, Ash?  Why should I wait?  So you can feed me some more bullshit?  I didn’t lie to you when I said I haven’t been with anyone else.  All this time the world thought that you were the one that was still in love with me.  I guess that isn’t fucking true is it?"  Before I could say anything, she continued.  "How could you do this?  This is why I left you.  You said you didn’t understand.  Well, there you go.  Now, I guess you fucking understand.  I said I’d never get involved again because I’d end up getting hurt, but I threw that out the window because I honestly believed that you still loved me."

"I do love you Spence."  I said with my head hung low.

"No, you don’t.  You don’t lie to people that you love.  That’s wrong on so many levels.  Is that all this was?  You wanted to keep up your image. So, you pretend your in love?  Is that all I am?"  She was breaking down now, but I could tell she was trying so hard to be strong.
