That Girl. – (Chapter: Playdate For The Future.)
"Well, I like her, and I don’t know if that means I’m gay. I don’t even know if I like her that much. I mean, we have fun together at school. We play together. We laugh, and she is so pretty. But, I give her my number, and she doesn’t call. She just doesn’t like me I don’t think." Taylor says looking very sad.
"Baby, if she didn’t like you, she wouldn’t play with you at school." Spencer said.
"I know. I just know she doesn’t like me like that." Taylor said.
"But, you said you didn’t know if you liked her like that." Ashley added.
"I know, but I don’t see the point in figuring it out knowing that she will probably never like me like that." Taylor said.
"Honey, you are six years old." Spencer began. "You don’t have to worry about all of this yet. It’s your first crush. We all have them. They pass. I promise."
"Ok. I was wondering though if I could invite her over tomorrow during my guitar lesson. She said she always wanted to play, and I’ve got two guitars and my own teacher." Taylor said.
"Of course you can." Ashley said.
"Good. I’ll call her." Taylor said grabbing the phone and walking away.
Twenty minutes had passed without hearing a peep from their daughter. Ashley decided to go check on her. She walked in the room and almost laughed at what she saw. Taylor sat on the bed indian style. A piece of paper sat beside her that read Samantha with her phone number on it. Taylor was in a trance just looking at the phone. She hadn’t even noticed Ashley coming in.
"Is the phone that interesting?" Ashley asked.
"I’m scared." Taylor said jumping at her Mom’s voice.
"Don’t be. If she says no, it’s her loss." Ashley said.
Ashley walked out of the room. Ten minutes later Taylor came slidding into the living room on her socks laughing like crazy.
"I guess she’s coming?" Spencer asked.
"She is." Taylor said doing her happy dance while giggling uncontrolably.
"Word of advice." Ashley began. "When you do the happy dance, don’t do it in front of the girl."
"Why?" Taylor said trying to calm down.
"When I first ask out your Mommy, I did the happy dance right in front of her when she said she’d go. That moment she knew she had complete control over me, and there wasn’t anything I could do about it." Ashley said smiling.

I’m skipping ahead a few chapter because I can’t get into the 6-year old. I’m around a lot of kindergärtners due to my grandmother and I’ve never heard one speak like this and their in private school.
