    Ashley is hired to kill Spencer

    I was convinced Spencer had split personalities, the trust I had in her flying out the window by the second. I knew I was being played; it was now my chance to take the lead.

    “I’ll play.” I slid down, my butt hitting the hard ground. Spencer moved opposite me and sat down. We stared at each other for a few seconds.

    “Did last night mean anything to you, or did you just try seducing me so we wouldn’t have to discuss Melissa?” I was diving into this game heart first.

    I don’t know why I had my eyes closed maybe to lessen the blow of her words that I knew where going to hurt me.

    “It meant everything to me.” My eyes flew open, she had to be lying.

    “I don’t believe you.” I really didn’t.

    “You have low self confidence then, I meant every touch, everything I did it came from the heart. Just a pity you don’t believe me. Like I said, things could’ve been so different.”

    “What do you mean?”

    “Your turn is over. It’s my turn.” I nodded.

    “Why were you hired to kill me, I’m curious.”

    “I don’t know.”

    “Oh come on, sure you do. You met with my mother this morning, I’m sure she had lots to say.”

    “Ask me something else; I’m not ready for that question yet.”

    “Fine, but that’s going to be my next question so you’d better prepare your answer.”

    “Okay Ashley, let’s see if you’re really as innocent as you make yourself out to be – I don’t buy your act.”

    “It’s not an act.” It was a weak answer but what else could I say? I didn’t like where this game was heading.

    “Sure it is. Come on, you kill people for a living. You blew up an entire school and you come across as Mother Theresa in person! I don’t believe that, not for one second.” I could feel the tears stinging my cheeks; I couldn’t believe she’d brought that up. I swallowed hard.

    “I’m manipulative.” I couldn’t believe I was saying this. I couldn’t believe I was being honest, letting out my big secret.

    “Explain yourself.” I didn’t care that her turn was over, I needed to speak.

    “I manipulate people; it’s pretty self explanatory isn’t it? I pretend I don’t feel anything, I lead people on. I want everyone to like me, and then maybe I’ll like myself more”

    1. Dude, what the hell?! I love this story but now I am so confused. I can’t believe Spencer would kill Ashley, I’m shocked. I can’t wait to see where you take this. Awesome update. PMASAP!!!

    2. oh my damn, why have i like never heard of this story?!!? it’s awesome! i love the story. i hope that’s not the end, but if it is then it was a great ending, or maby you could write one more about what happened then end it i need closure. PMS!

    7. You can’t really blame Ash for her current predicament…but, just a matter of time, I suppose. She’s just been listening to her subjects and proceeding based upon the minimal knowledge she has received. Guess that’s why contract killers can never have any type of intimate relationship. Ash protected Spencer as long as possible, but we all knew it would come back to bite her in the ass. I’m assuming the last gun shot is coming from someone else, not Spencer, and perhaps the agency has caught up with both of them, and has hit Spencer before she could finish off Ashley. Just a hunch, but it seems both of them are now in deep deep shite. Great fic, glad you finally updated. Hope we won’t have to wait months for the next one ;)

    9. Dammmnnn! This was really sad. I can’t believe Spencer actually shot Ashley! Is this ending? If its over then I just want to say this story was awesome! One of my favorites. But if its continuing then that’s great!
