    Ashley is hired to kill Spencer

    “There’s nothing wrong with you Ashley.”

    “Sure there is, I kill people for a living. What type of person does that? I killed my best friend. I’m really not worth much, but you wanna know something Spencer? I started to feel something for you, the moment I saw you – the moment I couldn’t kill you. I don’t know what it was; I wouldn’t call it love at first sight because it wasn’t. I just wanted to know you a bit better. You intrigued me. I studied you before that day. I saw you with your brothers, with your friends. I wanted to be closer to you. It sounds fucking crazy, I know, but then I met you, and we had all this time together. I let myself fall for you, but all that fell to shit the moment I saw your mother this morning, the moment I heard you killed Melissa.”

    It all happened so fast; Spencer was on her feet, my own gun pointing directly at me. I couldn’t believe I let her grab it, I couldn’t believe that I didn’t stop her.

    “What are you doing?”

    “Stand up Ashley.”

    “What’s going on Spencer?”

    “I said stand up.” I nodded and slowly got to my feet.

    “Want me to put my hands on my head too?” I didn’t believe Spencer was going to do anything, there was no way she was capable of doing anything. Then again, I was no different from Melissa – I’m sure she claimed to have feelings for Melissa too and look what happened to her, she was dead in a car wreck.

    “Don’t tempt me. I swear I’ll pull the trigger!”

    I could feel my head throbbing, this was supposed to be going in slow motion, and it was supposed to be so different. I didn’t know the girl standing in front of me.

    “Why are you pointing the gun at me? You wanna shoot me, fine, go ahead, but not before you explain yourself!”

    “I’m hurt.” She was moving her arms about, the gun pointing everywhere. A perfect opportunity to disarm her, an opportunity I was about to regret.

    “Hurt?”

    “You think I killed Melissa, I loved her.”

    She didn’t kill Melissa? This was all too much.

    1. Dude, what the hell?! I love this story but now I am so confused. I can’t believe Spencer would kill Ashley, I’m shocked. I can’t wait to see where you take this. Awesome update. PMASAP!!!

    2. oh my damn, why have i like never heard of this story?!!? it’s awesome! i love the story. i hope that’s not the end, but if it is then it was a great ending, or maby you could write one more about what happened then end it i need closure. PMS!

    7. You can’t really blame Ash for her current predicament…but, just a matter of time, I suppose. She’s just been listening to her subjects and proceeding based upon the minimal knowledge she has received. Guess that’s why contract killers can never have any type of intimate relationship. Ash protected Spencer as long as possible, but we all knew it would come back to bite her in the ass. I’m assuming the last gun shot is coming from someone else, not Spencer, and perhaps the agency has caught up with both of them, and has hit Spencer before she could finish off Ashley. Just a hunch, but it seems both of them are now in deep deep shite. Great fic, glad you finally updated. Hope we won’t have to wait months for the next one ;)

    9. Dammmnnn! This was really sad. I can’t believe Spencer actually shot Ashley! Is this ending? If its over then I just want to say this story was awesome! One of my favorites. But if its continuing then that’s great!
