“Ashley!” Carmen whispered urgently, running over to the girl to stop her. “Glen! Help me!” But far from stopping Ashley, Glen joined in, alternating with the brunette to try and bust down the door.
“If my sister is in there, I’m fucking going in!” Glen growled out. “On three, Ash.” Glen said to the brunette, locking eyes with her. “One.”
“Two.”
“Three!” They said together, both slamming their shoulders into the old, wooden door. The sound of wood splintering sounded, and the door broke open, slamming against the wall as it did.
“Jesus fuck!” Carmen mumbled, her eyes wide as she held her hand to her heart. “You do realize that whoever is in here heard that? I hope it is the Killer’s place, I don’t feel like going to fucking jail for breaking and entering.”
“Shut up, Mendez.” Both Ashley and Glen spat out as they tried to adjust their vision to the darkened room before them.
“I don’t hear anything do you?” Ashley breathed out, slowly creeping into the room further. She ran her hand against the wall and felt torn wallpaper under her fingertips. Squinting her eyes, she could just make out a table. “I think this is the kitchen.”
“Shhhh,” Carmen murmured, halting her movements to strain her ears. “Do you hear that? It sounds like muffled yelling.” Glen and Ashley stopped moving as well, listening hard.
Ashley slowly and carefully put one foot in front of the other as she placed her ear to the wall moving out of the kitchen. “It sounds louder here, like it’s coming from upstairs.” She whispered triumphantly, inching closer a little faster.
“Maybe we should wait for the sheriff to arrive.” Carmen whimpered, looking around and failing to see anything but the silhouettes of Glen and Ashley. Her heart was pounding against her chest and she was sure that her breathing was incredibly loud.
“What if Lily is up there, Carmen? I’m not fucking waiting.” Ashley whispered back angrily as she inched down the wall, ear against it still. “Look!” Ashley almost yelled out, finding a staircase towards the front of the house.
“Maybe Carmen’s right…the sheriff should be here any moment.” But Ashley didn’t listen. As quietly as possible she put pressure on the first step. There was no light coming from upstairs and it was now silent. Ashley didn’t think that was a good sign. She gulped loudly and hastily wiped her sweaty hands on her skirt, wishing she had the foresight to wear something that didn’t make her feel so vulnerable.

PAGES! Not days. Sorry, the epicness of the story has got me all befuddled.
I am literally physically exhausted from reading these last 3 chapters. So much excitement and drama. I knew it was Marie, the Glen and Kyla part threw me for a whirl but I knew Marie was behind it. This story was amazing and kept you guessing from beginning to end. The love and devotion that Spencer and Ashley had for each other was amazing. Marie was the perfect villan. The only part that made me think that it wasn’t her for a minute was when she was showing ginuwine concern for Ashley. This was an intense read from beginning to end and it sucks that so many people were killed because one woman was so sick in the head that she plotted the murders of so many teens. Gays, outcasts, and a single mother, and a kitchen worker who was friends with Ashley. You are an amazing writer. I would pay to read your work any day. I adored this story even in all the craziness that occured. This was a job well done.
PS woah I was watching last week’s episode of House and BAM there’s Gabrielle Christian as a special guest. Haven’t seen her in any tv since South and I had been picturing her all afternoon while reading your story and then there she is! So unexpected!
