The King High Killer – (Chapter: Chapter 13, Friday the Thirteenth; Halloween)
When nothing happened, Ashley took a deep, shaky breath and tried to will her legs to continue walking. She had never been so petrified in her life, her whole body trembling as she commanded herself not to expect the worst. Spencer is fine. It was probably just a dog Mendez saw and we probably just broke into some poor, old woman’s house and she’s watching TV upstairs and that’s all we heard.
But Ashley didn’t really believe that. She knew something was very wrong. Very the second she noticed that Spencer was missing from the dance, Ashley knew it was going to come down to this. The abandoned car and the mumbled yelling were just confirmations.
With another deep breath and another adjustment of her hands around the pot’s handle, Ashley slowly ascended another step. The walls on either side of the stairs blocked everything from view; the darkness didn’t help of course, but for all she knew the Killer was waiting at the top of the stairs.
She had hoped that by the eighth step she would have been able to tell if anyone was around, but she was still clueless. Ashley was torn between running up the stairs and screaming out Spencer’s name and just staying put, frozen and clinging to the railing as she sobbed. But Spencer was in trouble. And that’s all it took.
With each squeaky step Ashley settled her weight on, she’d pause for a long moment to see if anyone would jump out at them. With each second that ticked by without incident, she’d continue the longest journey of her life.
“Spread out.” Ashley whispered in both Carmen’s and Glen’s ears as softly as possible. She felt both of them nod and started sidestepping around the dark space—reaching out with one hand to use the wall for guidance and prevent running into anything as the other hand poised the pot over her head ready to strike.
With narrowed eyes, the brunette continued to creep forward, tempted to take out her cell and use it as a light source, but knowing better. There were no windows for light and no light switches as far as she could tell, but it looked as though they were walking down a long hallway.

DUDE. I checked this site obsessively all damn day yesterday! Nice ending, super epic. I like that it was 31 days too. SHIT that was awesome. New story soon mk? My 2 suggestions are as follows: not a year long and ummm more sex. KTHXBYE!
PAGES! Not days. Sorry, the epicness of the story has got me all befuddled.
I am literally physically exhausted from reading these last 3 chapters. So much excitement and drama. I knew it was Marie, the Glen and Kyla part threw me for a whirl but I knew Marie was behind it. This story was amazing and kept you guessing from beginning to end. The love and devotion that Spencer and Ashley had for each other was amazing. Marie was the perfect villan. The only part that made me think that it wasn’t her for a minute was when she was showing ginuwine concern for Ashley. This was an intense read from beginning to end and it sucks that so many people were killed because one woman was so sick in the head that she plotted the murders of so many teens. Gays, outcasts, and a single mother, and a kitchen worker who was friends with Ashley. You are an amazing writer. I would pay to read your work any day. I adored this story even in all the craziness that occured. This was a job well done.
PS woah I was watching last week’s episode of House and BAM there’s Gabrielle Christian as a special guest. Haven’t seen her in any tv since South and I had been picturing her all afternoon while reading your story and then there she is! So unexpected!
