“Carmen, search around for Spencer and Lily.” Ashley finally said once she found her mother’s pulse. She quickly used her cell to scan her mother’s body, worried that she could be hurt, but found nothing. Christine did look a little thinner than Ashley had last seen her, and her expensive clothes looked torn and ragged, her nails without the usual tips and polish, but other than that she appeared fine; just unconscious.
“Jesus! Lily!” Carmen shouted, somewhere off in the distance in another room perhaps. Ashley jumped up, gave her mother and Arthur one more glance, before she took off towards Carmen’s voice. Glen was behind her a moment later, exiting the bedroom and down the hallway towards the back of the house.
The door of the next room over was open and with their cell phone lights, navigated until they found Carmen hunched over Lily who was bound and gagged on the floor. “She’s awake!” Carmen cheered as she began to undo the ropes that pinned the girl’s arms and legs behind her back.
“I’m looking for Spencer.” Ashley breathed out, excited to see Lily alive and hoping it meant that Spencer was as well. The brunette quickly dashed out of the small bedroom and immediately tried the door to the left of the room—but it was a closet.
Ashley’s hand flew to her mouth and nose as she dry heaved, her stomach rolling from the stench of the dead bodies that were piled inside the small space. “Jesus Christ!” Ashley barely got out, slamming the closet door shut and doubling over at the horrific scene. There were at least five bodies inside, Jonica’s was the only one that she could clearly identify, and just as she did with the closet door, Ashley closed her eyes tightly as she tried to erase the sight from her mind.
“Spencer.” She breathed out, stumbling a little as she moved to the next door—the farthest from the stairs—and prayed the blonde was inside.
Ashley took a breath as she closed the hand not holding the pot around the knob, silently praying that she wasn’t about to walk into a grizzly scene, and hoping that the sheriff would arrive any second. Blood pounded in the brunette’s ears as she strained to listen for any signs of impending doom. She could just about hear soft talking coming from somewhere down the hall, maybe the room that housed Lily, Carmen, and Glen—she hoped so—and twisted the knob slightly, wincing at the creaking it admitted. Once the door was slightly open, Ashley retrieved her cell from her pocket and used the light to guide her.

DUDE. I checked this site obsessively all damn day yesterday! Nice ending, super epic. I like that it was 31 days too. SHIT that was awesome. New story soon mk? My 2 suggestions are as follows: not a year long and ummm more sex. KTHXBYE!

I am literally physically exhausted from reading these last 3 chapters. So much excitement and drama. I knew it was Marie, the Glen and Kyla part threw me for a whirl but I knew Marie was behind it. This story was amazing and kept you guessing from beginning to end. The love and devotion that Spencer and Ashley had for each other was amazing. Marie was the perfect villan. The only part that made me think that it wasn’t her for a minute was when she was showing ginuwine concern for Ashley. This was an intense read from beginning to end and it sucks that so many people were killed because one woman was so sick in the head that she plotted the murders of so many teens. Gays, outcasts, and a single mother, and a kitchen worker who was friends with Ashley. You are an amazing writer. I would pay to read your work any day. I adored this story even in all the craziness that occured. This was a job well done.
PS woah I was watching last week’s episode of House and BAM there’s Gabrielle Christian as a special guest. Haven’t seen her in any tv since South and I had been picturing her all afternoon while reading your story and then there she is! So unexpected!
