“Yeah, you know how desperate she was for a Valentine,” she said.

            “Yeah I guess. So, you want to stay down here for a while, maybe watch a movie?” I asked, moving in closer to her.

            “I actually have a lot of homework I need to do,” she said.

            “Oh,” I replied disappointed.

            “Maybe another time?” she asked, hearing the hurt in my voice.

            “Yeah, sure.” With that she gave me a quick peck on the lips and left my room.

            The rest of the week kind of dragged on. I planned my big Valentine’s Day event, hoping it would snap Spencer out of whatever bad mood she was in. She seemed to be avoiding me all week. We hadn’t spent any time alone together. And even when we were together around other people, she didn’t say much to me. I really missed my Spencer, but I let it go, hoping for the best from Valentine’s Day.

            The big day was here and I was so nervous. Aiden and Angela had their date all set and Aiden was going to help me with the plan. When Angela got up to use the restroom, he was going to use her phone to text Spencer to meet her at the beach. Of course, he would then immediately delete the text message.

            Spencer and I helped Angela get ready for her date, which she was very excited about. “I can’t believe he asked me out. He is so hot!” she exclaimed.

            “Yeah I guess,” I replied. “If you’re into that kind of thing.”
            “If by that kind of thing,” she said, “you mean men, then yes I am very much into that kind of thing. Tell her how hot he is Spencer.”

            “Yeah, he’s definitely good looking,” she said, chuckling a bit. That made me smile a little bit too.

            “Good looking?” Angela asked. “You guys are crazy he is literally SEXY!”

            With that, we heard a knock at the door, immediately followed by a scream from Angela. “Oh my god he’s here! How do I look?”

            “Not bad Ang,” I answered. “I’m kind of regretting I didn’t ask you to be my Valentine.”
