Spencer interjected here. “Oh but you’re not into Valentine’s so why would you?”

            Good point on her part. I just ignored the comment and walked with Angela to the door. She answered to a well-dressed Aiden holding a dozen red roses. Gross, how typical.

            “Wow,” he breathed out. “You look, gorgeous.” Angela was dressed in a black mini-skirt with a loose-fitted, silky red shirt, complete with a silver heart necklace and her hair down and curled to perfection. She did look great.

            “Thanks,” she said.

            “Umm, here,” he continued. “These are for you.”

            “Awww, thanks Aiden. These are beautiful.” She sniffed them and studied them for a few seconds before handing them to Spencer. “Do you mind putting these in water for me so we can get going?”

            Spencer rolled her eyes. “Yeah, whatever.”

            “Thanks! We’ll see you two later!” she replied walking out the door with Aiden.

            Spencer was by the sink cutting the stems and filling a vase with water. “You know,” she started. “It would be nice if someone bought me flowers, or brought me out to a fancy restaurant.”

            “Spencer, I told you, I’m not into Valentine’s Day. It’s just an excuse for the Halmark industry to make money. It’s not that big of a deal.”

            “It is to me!” she yelled. Okay I did not want this to get out of hand, so I thought it would be best if I ended it quickly.

            “I’m sorry,” I said softly. “Listen, I need to go study, I have a huge exam tomorrow. I’ll call you later?”

            “Whatever,” she replied, not even looking at me.

            “Okay, bye babe.” With that I left and was on my way to set up the big plans for tonight. I hope she let all of this week’s events go and was just happy about all of these plans. I mean, it was kind of a big thing, especially for me. I had everything all set up perfectly, and was now just waiting for word from Aiden to tell me he sent Spencer the message. When I finally got it, I was very nervous waiting for her.

            After a few minutes, I heard a car pull up and looked to see that it was hers. I saw her figure walking towards me quickly, probably worried about Angela. “Ang? Are you okay, where are you?”
