Nurse: "There are sick people here trying to get better. You are attracting an awful amount of attention to yourself. I’m going to have to ask you to remove yourself."

I stood there unable to look away from the broken Spencer. The paparazzi must have caught wind that I was here. I couldn’t just walk away from her.

Nurse: "Ma’am!"

That’s when I looked up to see Paula walking in.
Paula: "She is welcome to stay with my daughter as long as she wants. If you want to keep your job you better get back to it."

The nurse looked terrified. She muttered a "yes, Doctor Carlin." before she quickly scurried away. Paula closed the door and walked further into the room. I have to admit I was afraid of her. I subconsciously took a few steps back as she came closer to me. She stopped at the foot of the bed and looked down at her daughter. She shed a single tear before turning to look at me.

Pau: "She took a couple of pretty hard blows to her head. She has been unconscious ever since they brought her in."

She answered the question I hadn’t asked, but still wanted an answer too.

Pau: "I know I wasn’t much of a mother in the past and I let my relationship with Spencer completely ruin, but if I could just get her back all of that could change."

She was speaking more to herself than to me. I never took my eyes off the unconscious blonde beauty.

Pau: "I know Spencer loved you. As I’m sure she still does seeing as she ran off to your concert. I know she was there for more than just the music."

I hadn’t thought of that yet. I wonder why Spencer was at my concert and if it was for reasons other than to hear me play.

Pau: "When people are in a coma some specialists think it helps if you talk to them. I come in her every day as often as I can and I talk to her. I apologize for the way I acted."

She looked away from her daughter and locked eyes with me.

Pau: "I want you to talk to Spencer often. She loves you and I think that if anyone would be able to bring her back it would be you. You don’t have to worry about visiting hours. Stay here as long and as often as you like. I just want my daughter to be ok."
