“I’m sure. Go on.” Julia says.
“Okay.” Tina says and give Julia another hug. “Call if there’s any changes.” Tina says.
“I will.” Julia replies and bends down and place a soft kiss on Andrea’s sleepy head.
Tina drives home Andrea is still sleeping when Tina carries her inside. Both Alice and Shane jumps up when they see the door opens. Tina put her finger over her mouth right away to indicate to them to be quiet. Tina walks past them and into Andrea’s room. She lay her down in her crib, turns on the baby monitor and bring the receiver with her and walks out in the living room again.
“Hey, how is she? Why are you home?” Shane asks.
“Hey, she woke up. They took her off the respirator.” Tina says and let out a little sigh.
“That’s good. So how is she?” Alice asks.
“She had a swelling in her brain, they had to drain some fluids out. Her left hand is sort of crushed. They put it back together with surgery.” Tina says.
“Oh good. So she’s okay, she will be just fine?” Shane asks.
“Ehmm. She… there’s a chance that she might be blind…” Tina says and has a hard time keeping the tears away.
“Oh Tina. I’m so sorry.” Shane says and pulls Tina into a hug.
“The doctors believe she’ll be fine. But they can’t know for sure until they take away the bandages.” Tina says and pulls away from Shane. “I’m gonna stay here for a little while until Andrea wakes up. Bette wanted her home safe.” Tina says.
“Okay.” Both Alice and Shane says.
They all take a seat in the living room.
At the hospital Kit has just come out from Bette’s room.
“Hey, she’s waiting for you. I’m going home. Have Tina call me if there’s any changes.” Kit says and gives Julia a hug.
“I will. See you tomorrow?” Julia asks.
“Of course I’ll be here. I’ll be here in the afternoon.” Kit says.
“Okay. Bye.” Julia says and hurries in to Bette. She opens the door. And slowly walks in.
“Hey mom.” Julia says as she walks to the bed.
She sees Bette listening on the sounds.
“Hi honey.” Bette says and smiles.
Julia takes her hand and softly squeeze it.
“Hi, are you in pain?” Julia asks.
“No, I’m so drugged I don’t feel a thing. Ask me again tomorrow.” Bette says and lets out a little laugh.
“I will.” Julia says.
“So, how do I look?” Bette asks.
“Well. You need some makeup and you’ll be good to go.” Julia says and lets out a nervous laugh. “Mom, I was so scared when Tina called.” Julia says.
“I know honey. I didn’t plan on this. I’m thanking God that Andrea wasn’t hurt.” Bette says and takes a deep breath.

Glad you could borrow a PC Now we know Bette is getting better. How much more can these two endure> They have a lot of Drama,but seems to come back a wee bit stronger each time. thanks
I was so glad to see this post. Tell your friend thank you from a fan. Bette is too strong to give up now. She has her wife and her kids to live for. I hope that when the bandages come off that her eye sight will be fine. Waiting patiently
Lauren, how could you live without internet for that long! Gosh, it would have killed me without a day. lol.. glad that Bette can breath on her own now, please DON’T LET HER BLIND! Looking forward to your next post. :)

I am glad that Bette is doing better and hope that she WILL be GOOD as new. This family has been through soooo much physical drama. It would be nice to see the Porter family just be able to relax and deal with some of the regular drama of just raising their kids :o)
I wonder how Tina will tell the boys what’s going on?
u said it – lots of drama – unnecessary drama and torture for this family – one would think you dont like this family at all – coz everytime something good happens – a double big bad whammy soon follows – so now that bette has gotten kicked and trashed – who’s next – tina (again) – tis time what – she cant ‘walk’?

Glad to see Bette woke up. BUt please don’t let her be blind or something else. They have had enough drama in their live right now so please let the happy tmes finally come and stay!!
Hey Lauren – great to see some posts from you, you’ve been missed. But know that I’ll take the boat to Oslo and hunt you down, if you make Bette permanent blind or have other problems!!! I hope the moving is soon over and you can relax a little. Take care.
Please let Bette recover fully, and I mean fully. No blindness, please! I must say one thing though. This family sure has one hell of a guardian angel to watch over them…
