    A crush, a meeting then love?? – Chapter 69

“Yes I am.” Tina replies and smiles.

She walks around to the driver seat.

“Well then, let’s go.” Bette says as she starts the golf car and drive off towards the first Tee.

“So how long do you think we’ll be?” Tina asks.

“I don’t know, since we have a car, maybe 4 hours or so. But if you get tired, please tell me and we’ll go home.” Bette says.

“Baby, you need this practice. You have a tournament this weekend.” Tina says.

“Yeah, I know, but still.” Bette says and looks over at Tina.

Bette stops at the first Tee, she parks the car so that Tina has full view for her pictures.

The first hole is a long Par 4 hole. So she takes out her Big Bertha Driver. She places the ball on a high peg, then takes a practice swing. She line up the flag with her stand and then swings away. Tina takes a couple of pictures.

The ball lands right smack in the middle of the fairway.

“That was a great hit babe.” Tina says and smiles. Bette smiles back and places the driver back into the bag, which is fasten on the back of the car. She gets in again and drives down the fairway towards the ball.

A couple of hours later Bette is just finishing the 9th hole. On the right side of the hole, there is a artificial lake. It’s big and is connected with 8 of the holes.
“It’s beautiful here.” Tina says as this was the first time she was out on this course.

“Yeah it is. I love it out here, it’s peaceful.” Bette replies.

“Yeah.” Tina replies a little dreamy.

Bette drives off towards the next hole, but swings off the path. She head for the water. It’s a huge oak tree that is placed down by the water front.

“What are you doing?” Tina asks curiously.

“I’m taking a break.” Bette replies. She parks the car near the tree. Then she moves to the back of the car and takes out a blanket. Tina watches as Bette places the blanket down on the ground next to the tree.
“Bette?” Tina says even more curiously.

Bette moves back to the car and Tina’s side, she unlocks the seatbelt. And she lifts Tina out of the car and over to the blanket.

“What are you doing?” Tina asks with a smile.

“I just want to be alone with you for a little while.” Bette replies. She sits down and pulls Tina down so that she’s leaning into Bette.

Tina relaxes right away. They sit in silence for a little while before, Bette speaks.

“Baby?” Bette asks as  to see if Tina is still awake.

    “Yeah?” She replies.

“You don’t have to be so strong you know? It’s okay for you to fall apart.” Bette says softly. She holds her breath to see Tina’s reaction. When there’s nothing, she continues.

“I’m here to pick you up. I’m not going anywhere.” Bette continues. She gently rubs Tina’s arm. “I see it Tina and Jessie saw it. Please let go of your mask. I know that this is all new and scary, but hiding your true feelings from me isn’t going to help” Bette says. She feels that Tina’s body starts to shake a little. She takes a tighter grip on Tina. “Please just cry baby, you need to cry.” Bette says and continues rubbing Tina’s arm. Tina then slowly starts to cry and Bette keeps her tight embrace on Tina.

    1. My goodness, nobody could ever dream about a better and more caring support then the one Bette gives to Tina – especially here.
She’s so right : there’s nothing worst than holding tears back and endlessly putting a mask for everybody around…
Tears are the best medication to erase a growning inward tense or a hidden sorrow.

You know, Lauren, I was expecting Bette’s joy discovering the photos Jessie took of her T, but you added something beautiful here : the way one can see behind the expressions of the loved one, particularly when those expressions were fixed on photos to be read more carefully than during the moving reality.
I also love the way our lovely Bette choiced to bring Tina in a lonely and sweet place to let her physically express her fears and pain. That was truly tactful.
No, really, it would be simply impossible to be more caring and delicate…
      Great chapter, Lauren.

    2. oh my poor heart too…so very sad but kind too cuz Tina have someone who loves her beyond everything in the world and never will disappoint her..hey what about Tinas bro sis and dad they never called to her? please let Tina start feel her legs soon im begging you..great chapter as always thanks

    3. Its sad,but I don’t think you could ask for someone better than Bette to be by your side. Hopefully, Tina will start to regain the feeling in her legs. I’m a bit worried about Jessie, but as I said back when, I still think the two will take her in, they have a lot of love so theirs plenty to share.

    4. Lauren…great chapter. Bette was setting the mood for Tina to relax. For Tina to feel comfortable and then Bette told her to let it all go. That was truly touching. The connection between the two of them is amazing. Tina needs to mourn her loss…not that it’s permanent, but she needs to feel her sadness — then of course will come her anger. It’s the same steps taken to mourn death. Lauren…thanks for the lovely chapter.

    5. “You don’t have to be so strong you know? It’s okay for you to fall apart.” Bette says softly…..“I’m here to pick you up. I’m not going anywhere.”…. “I see it Tina and Jessie saw it. Please let go of your mask. I know that this is all new and scary, but hiding your true feelings from me isn’t going to help”….. “Please just cry baby, you need to cry.

Lauren, this was Beautiful, simply Beautiful…

    6. Wow, to have such a love. Great chapter. Hope that Tina’s condition improves soon. But, it’s good that they have this time to observe just how much they love each other, thru whatever comes their way. Please post again, soon.
