    A crush, a meeting then love?? – Chapter 83

“Who says? In some countries they have pancakes for dinner.” Bette says as a matter of fact.

“Name one.” Tina asks. She new Bette was right but, couldn’t help but tease her a little.

    “Hmm, Norway.” Bette replies triumphantly.

“Norway? Oh okay.” Tina says and gives in. “Make some pancakes.” Tina adds with a smile as she wheels herself over next to Sarah.

    Bette started mixing the ingredients.
Sarah and Tina make small talk while Bette struggles with the pancakes. Tina glances over from time to time to check on her. After a few minutes, Bette starts to swear a little in silence, but Tina notice it and excuse herself from Sarah and wheels herself over to Bette. She put her hand on Bette’s back.

    “Babe?” She says.

Bette turns and looks down on Tina, who is smiling from ear to ear.

“What?” Bette asks a little frustrated.

“It’s only pancakes, babe.” Tina says is a calm soft voice.

“I know, but the flip thingy It won’t” Bette says. That made Tina laugh.

“Flip thingy?” Tina asks, bursting out in laughter.

    “Tina, don’t laugh.” Bette pleads.

“I’m sorry babe, I just.” Tina says before she stops and continues laughing.

Just then Jessie enters the apartment and stops by the door to the kitchen and sees Tina almost falling out of her chair laughing.

“Oh Jessie, good, come over here and help me.” Bette says and motion with her arm to hurry up. Jessie walks over and looks down on Tina then over at Bette.

“What’s going on here?” She asks carefully.

“What is this called?” Bette asks in almost a whisper.

“A spatula?” Jessie replies with a questioning look.

“Thanks.” Bette replies and looks over at Tina.

“The spatula, it doesn’t do what I tell it to do.” Bette says looking down on Tina, who is a little calmer now. She wipes away the tears.

“Come here babe.” Tina says and pulls Bette down. You’re adorable. I love you.” Tina says and pulls her into a kiss. She then gets back to the table and Sarah.

Bette continues with the pancakes and with the help of Jessie. They have made it before, they can do it again. Bette thinks to herself.

15 minutes later the pancakes were finished.

Jessie got the table set and made some ice tea for everyone.

Bette came over with the serving dish covered in pancakes.

“Oh my, how many did you make?” Tina asks with a giggle.

“Enough for everyone I believe.” Bette simply replied. Tina stroke Bette’s back.

“It smells wonderful babe.” Tina says and starts to dig in. Everyone grabs some and starts eating.

“So Tina, how’d it go with the physio today?” Jessie asks curiously.

“It went well. I have more movement in my legs now. I think I’ll be walking really soon.” Tina says and smiles over at her.

“That’s great.” Jessie replies with a smile.

“Yeah, really great.” Tina replies and looks over at Bette.

“Hey, Bette?” Jessie says after a few minutes.

    “Yes?” Bette replies.

“Your apartment upstairs, how much do you think it will cost?” Jessie asks carefully.

“My apartment? Why?” Bette asks curiously.

“Well Stephanie is selling the house, and wants to buy something closer to here.” Jessie says.

“I don’t remember what I bought it for, but I think I can make her an offer.” Bette says with a smile.

    “Really?” Jessie replies.

“Yes, really.” Bette replies with a smile towards her.

    “Thank you.” Jessie replies.

    1. i totally agree with you lauren..sex is not everything in a real relationship specially whem one of them are injuried..Bette is doing great about give to Tina all the time she need to recover and feel able to make love..and that is what makes their relationship so special..the way Bette makes Tina smille doing almost nothing..that kind of small gestures of love and affection and the way they feel safe..confortable around each other prove that ..theres no pressure and will know the right time…do i have to say i love it????..no?..ok love it..thanks Lauren cant wait for more :o)

    2. don’t worry… we love a story also.. not only the sex.. (did i say that) … anyway… with all of the money bette has… she needs to hire a cook.. and i’m available… cheap too…

      love your story ….please continue

    3. I love this story and you can take as much time as you want. I don’t think I would be ready for sex just two weeks after a carwreck and paralyzation. great chapter and love the interaction

    4. I enjoy the story at the pace you’re taking it. You’re right, it’s only been two weeks. There will be plenty of time for them to catch up once Tina’s legs are back in commission. Take this story at the pace you want it to go in. I’m lovin’ it!!!

    5. i agree with the others you dont have to have sex to prove how deep in love you are with somebody even more when that person is not able to do this, what Bette could´ve do if Tina didnt walk again, leave her? love is not sex all the time they will have a lot of time to show that kind of love when Tina feel confortable to, looking forward for next chapter thank you L

    6. This story is great, and it doesn’t always have to involve sex. Just reading about these two enjoying being with each other, the love, the fun they have it just gives you a sense of peace and happpiness which we would all apprecaite at the end of the day.

    7. Once more I’m totally with Pandora here !
God, yes, how essential is such an extraordinary relationship, so full of tenderness, care, deep confidence – and shared humor !
It’s so good to see Tina laugh thanks to her Bette’s irresistible clumsiness (adorable indeed !). Isn’t it miraculous to be able to laugh crossing such a hard period ? Love’s power, of course ! How great…

And your story, from the beginning, is such a sweet tribute to true love, showed in every possible daily life’s details. Beauty in simplicity…
Once more – and never too much : thank you, Lauren ! ^_^

    8. Lauren..thanks for the chapter. It’s so cute how Bette gets so flustered making pancakes…with the flip thingy. LOL. Thanks for the chapter. Hope school is going well.
