    B&T 9 years after season 1: Bette having a quick breakfast with Eli

     

    "What did she tell you?"

     

    "She told me a lot about her family in California. How she was really happy for a long time, but that something happened that hurt her very much and that’s when she came to New York."

     

    "That’s all?"

     

    "No we would talk about it a little at a time and that’s how I know so much about her life and your lives together." I kind of cringed because I really want Eli to like me, I don’t want him to hate me for hurting Tina. I look over at him and he’s giving me this reassuring smile, "If it makes you feel better she told me there were a whole lot more good times then bad."

     

    "She said that?"

     

    "Yeah. That’s the main reason I came to see you. I know you made my mom happy, whenever she talked about you she’d get this really happy look in her eyes, but then it would go away. I was hoping that you guys could work things out…she goes out on dates but none of them have been able to make her eyes light up the way they did when she talked about you. That and I wanted to meet you myself…you know to meet the other person mom considers as the biggest influence on her life."

     

    I don’t remember feeling this happy being with someone since Tina, it figures that Tina’s son would make me feel this at ease. "So are you ready to start heading out."

     

    "Yeah I’m ready."

     

    "O.k. lets go say bye to Kit and get your cheesecake."

     

    "Hey Kit we have to get going we just wanted to say bye."

     

    "Not before I get Eli his cheesecake, here you go Eli I wrapped up two pieces for you."

     

    "Thank you. Maybe next time we see each other we can talk a little more."

     

    "Eli come here and give me a hug…I’m looking forward to the next time we see each other."

     

    I can’t help but chuckle at how taken Kit is with Eli, and she doesn’t even know that he’s Tina’s son yet. Shoot when she finds out I don’t think I’ll be able to pry Eli out of her arms. "O.k. Kit we really have to get going now, I’ll see you at the barbecue tomorrow."

    1. Okay, I am such a dumb idiot for not reading this story earlier. You can beat me with a wet noodle. This is an awesome story and I will not make the same mistake twice. Being a Tibette fan I must have lost whatever brain cells that I have. Post soon so I can calm my addiction.

    15. If Eli has Tina’s smile like Bette thinks he does, Kit probably already knows who Eli is. Bette should realize that it is up to Eli now whether she is in his life or not; Eli has made this huge step to meet her, and Bette should make it clear to him that she wants him in her life – the first chance she gets. I don’t think Tina will be upset with him, it’s not like she has tried to hide Bette from him. But has she tried to hide him from Bette? That’s the question. Excellent story, can’t wait for more!

    17. Holy crap. Bette’s one of his guardians?! Wow. Seems to me Tina must have been really wanting a reunion. And now she’s coming to CA. Can’t wait!
