    “Thank you babe. You want to try some of this?” Tina notices that Bette is playing with her ice cream so she offers a forkful of the chocolate treat. Bette takes it and savors it.

    “Um that really is pretty good Tee.”

    “Told you. It beats plain vanilla any day. By the way if the Ghirardelli store is still open we need to stop in there. I want to get gifts for the girls.”

    “Yeah I’m sure it’s not just for the girls.” Tina smiles knowing she’s been found out. She wanted the chocolate as much for herself. “If it’s not open this evening we can come back tomorrow afternoon after we leave James and Lisa’s. I think Angie might enjoy Cannery Row in the day time.”

    “You know, that’s an even better idea. This way I don’t have to lug it around with me tonight while we explore. Are you ready to check out the nightlife?”

    “I am. We need to walk off some of this meal.” Bette sits back and dabs the corner of her mouth with the napkin.

    Tina signals for the check. After the settling the bill they stop in the ladies room before leaving the restaurant to take a stroll along Cannery Row. They stop at a new piano bar/dance club that had been recommended by the maître d’ of the restaurant where they had just dined. It had a cozy piano bar on one side and a dance club on the other. The dance club had a live band and a DJ. Friday was Karaoke night. Bette and Tina walked in just as the last performer took the stage with her rendition of “Two Hearts, One Love” by Shania Twain. They read the lyrics as they flashed across the screen.

    5. Very strong post. In my opinion both Tina and Bette are truly trying to get this relationshipwork for good. Knowing how strong they (sexually) react on each other, it’s very strong to see that they hold back (shower separately) and talk. It gives me strenght in my situation with a friend. Thank you for this post.

    6. Fantastic update! I am glad they started to talk. I didn’t remember that it was Tina Who cheated in their marriage.

      And a very wise decision to hold back at a intimate reconnection. Let them first handle their trust issues and mistakes from their first relationship.

    7. Thank you so much for the update ! I am at the airport waiting for departure, just have enough time for two chapters……
      Honesty is still the best policy in couple hood. To be able to understand on a different perpective to avoid misunderstanding need a lots of endurance and patient. It doesn’t matter right or wrong, not about to agree or disagree. When you love someone is a package, you cannot select what you like or dislike in a person, is only how much you can endure and bring it into your life and of course if someone change to someone you like then why together in the first place…… Just a thought ….

      frank and abertademente, not to fall in
      same trap of the past because they have a new beginning.
