    Chapter 44

    Chapter 44

     

     

    Tina had spent a restless night, tossing and turning having Bette asleep just down the hall was making her nervous, around 3am Tina could still not get to sleep so she decided to go down to the kitchen and make some tea, hoping that would help relax her enough to fall asleep.

     

    She was at the top of the stairs when she stopped and quietly made her way towards the guest room where Bette was sleeping, the door was open, she looked in and saw Bette, her Bette asleep in her clothes like she had seen her so many times, Tina missed her and she could not control the urge she felt to crawl in bed with her, Tina stood there a couple of more minutes just listening to the steady breathing coming from Bette.

     

    Tina took a deep breath and willed herself to the kitchen to make her tea.

     

    The next morning Bette was awaken by the sound of the door bell she looked at the clock a little annoyed on being disturbed from the first goodnights sleep she’s had in weeks, figuring Tina was still asleep she got up and walked to the front door. Bette was surprised to see a well dressed Helena standing at the door.

     

    “Shit” Bette cursed under her breath

     

    Helena was equally surprised to see groggy, sleepy eyed Bette Porter answering the door of her girl friends house.

     

     

    “Hey Helena good morning”

     

     

    ‘Come in” Bette said as she stepped aside

     

    Helena still had not said a word, she had placed her hands on her hips and began pacing the living room.

     

    “Helena, it’s not what it looks like ok, I spent the night in the guest room, Let me go wake up Tina”

     

     

    “Don’t bother Bette I know where her bedroom is I’ll go wake her up myself” Helena said in an irritated tone.

     

    Bette shrugged her shoulders as Helena stormed away towards Tina’s bedroom, Bette walked into the kitchen, she needed coffee she began to brew a pot and walked back into the bedroom to change

     

     

    Helena walked into Tina bedroom without knocking she sat on the bed and shrugged Tina’s shoulders trying to wake her up.

    2. oh man two in one day. thank you! I’m glad Helena is backing off. she’s no fool I guess. who was Tina trying to fool saying that B was just a friend?! as if!

    3. I love it. Invite her indeed. This is almost fun, except for Helena. Helena and Shane are correct, the love they feel for each other is so evident to everyone but them. This is just great. Let them keep saring the house and meals, etc. they will very quickly realize just how much they do care for each other. Thanks for posting. PPS

    4. Oh goody another post, maybe we can get one more today. Bette is cracking me up. She’s been having Sunday brunch for a month at Tina’s parents. This should be good. TahTah Helena.

    7. I started taking breaks between each paragraph so it’ll seem longer, I’d go throw a load in the washer or recaulk my shower. Then my eyes would cheat and look down. Thanks for the 3 in 1 day ILM. You’re awesome.

    10. Ok, something I meant to say earlier and was too excited. Is Helena crazy ir what? Tina didn’t need to ask her permission to let Bette stay there. Hell, I do believe it is Tina’s house after all, she can invite anyone she wants to stay there. Permission, I don’t think so. Goodbye Helena, and don’t come back. Enough said.

As much I love the Brit, I love Tibette more.Now I hope Tina’s folks can sprinkle some “give Bette another try” sense in her coffee…. as this “lets be friends” thingy is just not cutting it… PPS and thanks for posting 2 chapters in one go

    15. It’s so good to meet a sense-making Helena. I think she didn’t have to give her permission for Bette, she should have known though. I read it taking brakes too so that it would last longer…lol

    16. wow it’s great to see 2 posts! i would love to read another one very soon. I’m a tibetter but my heart goes out a little to Helena in this story. Thought Bette wanted to win Tina back earlier on in the story. Can’t wait to see how things go. So far Tina has been really nice to Bette but I wonder if Bette goes after her would Tina be able to accept her wholeheartedly again? It’s really hard to believe and trust a person again after you see them cheat on you.
