After the Kiss: Chapters 42 and 43 Mi Casa, Su Casa

Alice – Oh no … Bette is very particular. Only beautiful women find her Grail.

    Tina – Yes, I heard it …

Alice – Well, who cares? It’s like that legend… Everybody found it and tried their best but only Arthur was able to remove the sword.

    The producer smiles delighted.

    Tina – Excalibur.

Alice – Yep! You’re Arthur! Bette is the sword stuck in stone. So appropriate for your stubborn girlfriend!

    Tina chuckles.

Tina – She hasn’t been stubborn with me.

Alice – This is because you are still in your honeymoon!

    Tina – We are …

    She smiles.

Alice – But it’s always good to know that there are other holy grails out there …

    She winks.

Tina – I don’t need any other grails. Mine is holy enough!

Alice – Just be thankful that you never had to kiss a frog. Believe me, there are many out there. I know a girl who used to have a gag reflex every time she went down on her girlfriend.

    Tina chuckles.

Tina – You are kidding, right?

    Alice – Nope.

Tina narrows her eyes in disbelief.

Alice – OK … I was the girlfriend. Can you believe that? What does a tongue have to do with gag reflex?

    The producer laughs.

    ————————————–

Lesbian nightclub, night: Tina is watching Bette with curiosity while the brunette is standing near the bar talking to a couple of women, one of the women being very animated towards her girlfriend.

She turns to Alice and points in the brunette’s direction.

Tina – Are they your friends?

Her friend turns to look and smiles mischievously.

    Alice – Uh … nope!

    Tina – Who are they?

Alice – I think you can figure it out.

    She looks amused.

Alice – Aren’t you going there?

The producer shrugs and shakes her head.

    Alice – You should …

    Tina – I trust Bette.

Alice – One thing you need to know around here … sometimes, you need to brand your cattle.

    Tina frowns.

Alice – Yep … just to make sure others understand not to cross the fence, you know?

The producer smiles, shaking her head.

Alice – Besides, considering how much trouble she has keeping women away from you every time you come here … I have a feeling that she would enjoy the role reversal this time.

Tina chuckles and glances at Bette for a moment.

    1. Cute…. Alice is still Alice. She still cannot believe that Bette treats Tina differently from any other woman she has dated. Tina has no faults in Bette’s eyes….

Love this story…. nice Keep it coming.

    2. dbff, I’m so with you concerning Melvin/Bette. I never could quite understand why she accepted his condescending, arrogant behaviour. Even if you love your parents unconditionally, you can expect them to treat the person you love at least with respect and you should tell your parents to do so.
But as you said, you’re writing a prequel so I’m fearing for the worst when it comes to their visit in Philly on Thanksgiving.

Thank you so much for another cute chapter! Tina’s efforts to open up and include Bette more in her day-to-day life made me smile. She’s really getting confident with being with a woman. Next step: exchange of keys to the other’s home ;-)

Loved her assistance’ comment on Tina’s taste in women.

      pps
