    The baby is coming sooner than expected…

     

    “Well she took that better than I thought” smiled Bette as she leant back on the couch, wrapping an arm around Tina.

     

    “What?!” both Tina and Shane exclaimed looking over at Bette.

     

    “What? I’m serious. You know how Alice can get. I’m actually quite shocked she didn’t march right down to the doctor’s office and ask for a re-calculation or something.”

     

    “Yes, I suppose you are right” smiled Tina, “We are talking about Alice after all.”

     

    “But she did have a point though, ten days isn’t a lot of time” said Shane standing up from the couch and straightening out her clothes. “I should probably do a little shopping myself.”

     

    “You know you don’t have to get anything” Tina said looking up at Shane.

     

    “Of course I do” Shane said with a smile, “It is part of my responsibility of being the cool aunt.”

     

    “The cool aunt?” asked Bette, “What does that make the others then?”

     

    “Well it’s simple really,” Shane began as she slid on her coat, “Kit is the reasonable and knowledgeable aunt. Dana has to be the sporty yet surprisingly clumsy aunt. Alice is simply the crazy aunt, and that leaves me being the cool aunt.”

     

    “Ah, yes, I see it now” Bette said with a slight sarcastic tone. “thank you for enlightening us with that information.”

     

    “Well they don’t call me Yoda for nothing” winked Shane, “I’ll catch you ladies later.”

     

    “Bye Shane.”

     

    And with that Shane slipped out the door leaving the two ladies smiling at the hour’s events.

     

    “They really did take it rather well” Tina said as she leant back to snuggle into Bette’s embrace.

     

    “Yeah, we were pretty lucky. I could have sworn there would have been more drama” Bette said as she lightly ran her fingers through Tina’s hair.

     

    Tina couldn’t help but let her eyes flutter shut with Bette’s soothing caresses. “We’re going to be ok, right?” Tina said softly.

     

    “Of course we are Tee, not a doubt in my mind” comforted Bette as she held Tina just a little closer.

     

    “So your late night call with Kit last night had nothing to do with the baby?” Tina asked as she sat up a little to look directly at Bette.

    11. YAY Kanaf is back! This was Awesome girl! I cannot wait to read more of this. I love fics surrounding the pregnancy, and how damn cute these two are. This line really said it all: “I’m only strong because of you. I’m not strong for you.” Bette said looking into Tina’s eyes. Good stuff, and if you think your creative juices aren’t back or flowing…you are DEAD WRONG! MORE MORE MORE. ;-)

    13. You know, I’m not so sure that when Alice left she didn’t actually “march right down to the doctor’s office and ask for a re-calculation or something”. LOL !! It does sound like something she would do. Hahahaha ! Anyway, thank you, thank you KANAF !! You’ve been so missed and I’m so glad you’re back !
